These videos related to Plastic Analysis are way good. Thank you so much. It helped a lot for getting concepts as well as preparing notes for exams. Cheers :) #FromNepal
+Alex Astarci oh right I just saw its because we only analysed half the structure but then why is Internal work 2 theta if we are only analysing half of the structure?
Alex Astar correct me if I'm wrong but he was considering half of the beam for external work due to symmetry then at the end he multiplied the answer by two to account for the whole beam. He found the total angle of rotation for internal work hence he just found the internal work of the whole beam.
yes you are correct. he over complicated something that was oversimplified by halving something that was already halved again, and he forgot the fact the he then multiplied the load by displacement so in the denominator he multiplies 2 by 4 giving 8. what he should have done was multiply the load and displacement individually by 2 or multiply by 4 at the end.
great explanation thank you so much, can you do one on shape factors, plastic section modulus and can you do some examples on how to determine the plastic neutral axis and elastic section modulus. you're amazing i understood so well. Thank you
Thank you! I try to upload around 2 a week. I have the script for the video, I just need to record it. I will do my best to upload it early in the new year.
where is part 2? looking forward to it..
Very brief and lucid explanation.Thankyou.
Great work! Part 2 would be awesome!
This stuff is great!! pitty the guy disappeared!

great works and lot's of respect for u.
great work, are you going to upload part 2?
thank 's mr micheal clapham for this explanation
Is it just me or should external work = (wl^2).theta/2 because total force is WL and then displacement is L/2 x theta? thanks

Great lecture... Please can you assist us with more lectures on structural analysis?

Thank you
Hi can u upload the part 2?
very good work I understand very well
Can you make more videos please?
Strain energy, design in concrete and structural steel
where's the vedio for the next example????
great explanation thank you so much
謝謝您的影片,超棒的!
part 2 please!!!
Great vids. Better than my lecturer. When are you going to upload the second part and the continuation of the fundamentals? I have an exam in 3 weeks!

+Michael Clapham (davesidea) still waiting
Still waiting @michaelclapham5413!
🤦 where are the rest parts,
Need part 2 🤦♂️
good job (y)
