Really enjoying your videos! Look forward to every build update! I’m learning a lot about building. As a younger guy who likes building kits, this has been very helpful in learning building techniques!

Even though I already have a completed Stingray, I picked up another unopened kit from a friend for a great price. So I'll be coming back and re-watching your videos when I get to building it. One thing I did on my first one that might interest you, when I completed the tail bracing, I slipped shrink wrap tube on the wire and shrunk them down. It gives a nice finished look, and you can use different colors.

Hi, thanks for that tip on bracing! That is a great idea. I think ill do that as well. It looks kinda clunky. Good luck on your building!

Practise makes perfection. Soldering is a art. I have been doing it for years. Clean all the surfaces well, add flux, hot soldering iron or torche, use flux solder or silver solder for high stress areas. Heat well before applying solder, get a good flow. Don't over heat, that will cause cold joints. Keep the soldering area as far away as possible from the holding fixture, it acts as a heat sink and will take heat away from the soldering area. Clean joint with stiff brush and alchohol and your done.shinny solder is a great joint. Good luck. Try on scrap copper wire for practice.

Du-bro (doo-bro) I have never heard it pronounced duhbro. I guess it works. Beautiful plane! I am applying many of your building techniques to my Cloud Clipper 71! No base (bass) wood though! Hahaha! Keep on keeping on!

Thanks, glad some of what I do is helpful. We all learn together.. ya I guess a little lazy on the “do” and opposed to “doo”, and bass vs base, been caught in that before. Haha

Hey James ..love your videos ! Just a recommendation..i think narrating the videos instead of the music would be so much better ..and you can explain your work as you go ..just a thought ..
    Excellent quality though james ..
Thanks for all your hard work and tips ..

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll take it into consideration into consideration. Narrating, of not talking too much, music no music, its been trying to find the right balance. I have a few more videos in this build series, I will be trying to evolve or improve as I go into the next. Ill try to explain more, I actually thought I should have explained why my tank was on the one side.. you confirmed I should have noted that. Thanks!

That soldering iron you got has way too low wattage to use it for soldering solid iron together. You need a much more powerfull iron and use siver solder not electrical solder.

Kudos on the use of good soldering flux but that soldering iron is for small (very small) electrical connections only. Do you notice how the solder doesn't just flow in that it just globs on top that's because you're not getting the work near hot enough for the solder to flow because your iron is way too low on wattage...

Be careful with that lock-tite around that plastic wire hold down. It will cause the plastic to vecome brittle and basically it will just crumble apart... Ask me how I know this ...
From experience thats how. Its not just aomething I heard I have litterally seen this happen.
