Second time watching, as I am watching in your playlist for Mexico, your videos are so good you can watch them over and over. good vibes, good tunes and you always show the most beautiful places :) and the lighting in this video is so beautiful
I think finding the flamingos was rather serendipitous. I've been in a red tide before, went night diving out of Mulege and in the boat coming back we saw 2 whales glowing like orbs in the deep.
@@JumpingPlaces if I have 3-4 nights to spend for travel, which place in MX do you recommend? I am looking at Cozumel, puerto Escondido but open to anything
13:40 You have to swim in the water and turn off your flashlight to see them. Its when you disturb the water that they become alarmed and start glowing. But its hard to see with a flashlight. You have to do it in darkness.
Holbox is my favorite island of the Mexican Caribbean. You can purely feel the island vibe there. I‘m wondering how the situation is over there currently due to the pandemic. Missing it so much!
What a stunning lightning storm you captured and the flamingos too. I never knew they made those noises ! Very cool. I’ve been wanting to visit Isla Holbox, maybe someday soon!
@@JumpingPlaces Hi I want to revisit Bangladesh as didn't see all the places I wanted too because I got sick , and also Thailand again , and who knows where else 😎😎😎.
i visited Holbox in 2020 and had a bad experience, never even made it to the beach. Stayed in a place downtown where they had concerts going on til 6am for the Carnival. Did not get a wink of sleep and ended up with a massive migraine hence why I had to leave early. I felt sad watching your video because of everything I missed. I would like to return to Holbox during low season and hopefully experience all the beauty that you have shared with us on this video. This time I will stay away from the concert hall. Thank you for this beautiful video!
Great video of the island! I’m visiting cancun next month, is it easy to get to the island from cancun? We don’t have car rental. Also I’m considering bringing my drone, did you have any problem taking your drone to Mexico? Thanks, Kev
Thanks for the video! After reading the comments about boring and higher cost, I am glad I booked my stay on Isle Mujeres 3 nights and Cancún 2 nights 😁
Awesome lightning, Chris! I could have watched more of that! I'll have to listen to the end of the video again with headphones on as you thought you were picking up the sound of flamingos. I never even thought about what they might sound like - at first I thought it might be raccoons, like what invaded Angela Vlogs' restaurant in Holbox, which they caught on video - also as amazing as your lightning footage. Your beautiful wife Carol is about as tanned as she can get, no?, so, yeah, time to come in off the beach and do some inland videos after/during Mexico City. Cheers.
Beaches looked nice some friends went earlier this year and said there was quite a bit of red sea weed was that a problem any place you've been so far in Mexico?
@@JumpingPlaces Yes!! No houses there... very wild experience. Water is super clear and no waves. I remember walking in the beach like 50 or 60 meters away from sore with water only up to my waist... fish around me. I ended up following a couple of rays around. So beautiful and peaceful. I took tons of pictures and videos.
@@JumpingPlacesWell, Punta Cocos is literally a block away from the town. Punta Mosquito is 2.4 km Away from town and it is way bigger. www.google.com/maps/place/Punta+Mosquito/@21.534936,-87.3738148,9891m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x8f4d9170c972556d:0x1b207fa92ee65814!8m2!3d21.5631307!4d-87.3360153
I really envy you guys! My wife and I are in a similar relationship as you and Carol (both in our 20s, she's from Rio, I'm from Germany) and we're currently living in Germany, although we are not sure if we will stay here. Unfortunately we're not yet in a position to do nice travelling as you and so we could not yet figured out where our place to stay in this world will be. Where would you suggest people, who have the option to live in Brazil or Europe, to live? Or even somewhre else? I really enjoy your videos and sorry for my bad english :)
Lol took me a while to work out what you were talking about but figured it out. I left England 13 years ago and lived in Brazil and Texas so the accent has changed quite a bit. Think Steve's changed in about 1 month haha, at least I have been out for 13 years lol :P
I have a property of 4,000 square feet on the Holbox island, near the only beach on the island where there is bio-luminescence, I am looking for a capitalist partner who will be interested in developing a bar or restaurant, perhaps rustic wooden cabins
rented a car in Cancun airport we reach Chiquila and by ferry to Holbox. ...this isn't Mexico, price are way to high and not an easy task to swim. yes, most of the structures are new but there but Two days are more than enough
Yeah I found this island to be more expensive than Cozumel and isla mujeres which is weird since it’s more of a backpackers island and not a fancy resort place. Weird!

Yeah you are right! Nothing better than islands without cars, such a unique vibe 😁
A La Chingada es muy chingones
I’m just drooling with all those beaches that you had visited! Hopefully it’s safer to travel and explore one day!
What are the prices like in this area for food and accommodation?
Very cool. Very enjoyable.
Great information.
Denka!!!
Grwat video babe. One of my favourites. I panicked with all the lightining and you in the water. Dangerous. Perigo, Perigo , lol. But, beautiful .

Yeah I had no idea they made those sounds, bizarre! Lol
Had no idea there were raccoons there either, was a truly great island
Amazing!

No sargazo ! 😯
Yeah not in isla holbox we didnt see any :D Maybe because its on the coast facing north and not east
Holbox is my favorite destination that I have never been too.im not dead yet so I’ll get there.
How do you spell the name of the hotel?
At 10:00 I’m sitting here like “This is dope.”
Great, now everyone knows where to go ask for jet ski rentals.
guys it has to be dark to see the glow. Using a flashlight, for one your night vision is lost, but you can't see it at all with any light around.
Yeah we turned off the flashlight but still no luck, think it was just the wrong time with the bright moon out and also lightning and stuff
You got to be in the water and splash it to see the light
I cant believe u guys didnt bike to Punta Mosquitos (east side of the island).
Yeah had no idea! Does it have nice beaches?
