Thank you for showing the edge coating. I was glopping it on and not waiting for it to completely dry. I just need more patience on that step. On another note, I was visiting my relatives in Louisiana and stopped at some quilt shops. I was excited that they carried your patterns. I think I bought the Sirona or the Callisto. I can’t remember. It’s upstairs and I’m not. 😂
Did my laptop flap last night, this video really helped, the cloth made a big difference keeping it clean, and building up the coats, looked, so much more professional. Thank you again.
I use nail polish remover to clean my embroidery hoops. It has to be non acetone because the acetone melts or pits the plastic hoop. Could be the same thing with vinyl.
Thank you for the tips. The problem I have most is with the applicator , it doesn't really roll it more glides and I have a hard time getting even coats like that. And I typically do 2 base coats , I think I will try 3 and see how that goes.
Great video refresher - question, do you seal the inside edges of your zipper opening with one or two layers when making the wallet? Or do you leave the zipper openings raw?
Great video! You are a very good teacher. Is there an alternative to that base coat product? I checked out Buckle Guy and other vendors and it costs more to ship a small bottle to Canada than the bottle actually costs. It would be over $32 to ship the smallest bottle to Canada. Thanks so much!
Oh you can get a ton of pieces from one jar! Over a long long time it’ll dry out but you can reinstitute it with water! Yes it works on any raw edge (as long as you use base coat)
Wow! The best video I’ve seen about rivets. Thank you so much. I’m new to bag making. I’m a quilter, so there’s a HUGE learning curve. Love your channel. I’ve been watching all your tutorials. Which one of your patterns do you think is a good starter bag? Thanks again! 😊
Edge coat always looked intimidating but you make this look doable and even relaxing.
You can do it! And it can be meditative!
Just bought my 1st paint. So appreciate finding this video, thanks!!
Glad I could help!

Oh that’s so fun!!! I love seeing my stuff “in the wild”, thanks for letting me know! And yes, patience is a virtue when it comes to edge coating.
Beautiful color matching or additions. 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you! 😊

Maybe a new applicator is needed!

I do one coat to seal but I don’t paint it

@@SewGnar excellent! Thanks so much!
Where do you get your cork fabric
Fabric funhouse!
Thank you! How far does a small jar go? Does it dry out easily from lack of use? I'm assuming it also works on vinyl and faux leather? Thank you!

You are the bomb! Thank you
No problem!
How long do you wait between each coat approximately
About 15 minutes or so

I’d say my wristlet clutch is the easiest, and then the paradigm is a great crossbody bag to start with!
Thanks for the tutorial. What grit sandpaper do you use?
220!
Hi Nicole
Love watching your videos such a great teacher
Question: Can I use Mod Podge Matte as my base coat
Thank You
No, it dries too hard to adhere to the paint 😞
Is there a difference between these paints and the Feibings edge coat made for leather?
I’ve never tried that brand so I can’t say, unfortunately
Asking this here since it’s your last posted video and may show up. Would you share where you order your metal tags from? They’re awesome.
Lihui imports, I just responded to your email ❤️
