Use the Hobby4Life map generator to easily generate the location map:
ethosmap.hobby...
The bitmap file for the GPS map should be placed into :
sdcard:\bitmaps\gps
From home screen, press the Telemetry Screens Display area "[ [+]"
Click the "+" to add a new screen and select the Fullscreen layout
Click "Change" to choose "GPS Map" then set the GPS sensor and select the GPS bitmap file.
I love my X20HD. I can't wait to try this out.
have you made a video where you explain how to enter latitude and longitude? I can't really get it to work. Greetings Michael from Denmark

Just a .bmp file -- I use the Hobby4Life map generator for ETHOS :
ethosmap.hobby4life.nl/
Is that the Arizona field out in Apache Junction?
Is there a video on how to enter in the lat and longitude?

Have you made a video on how to enter in the lat and long yet?
Lat and Long enter by clicking on it then remember it goes from -180 to +180 so just run the knob one way or the other and you will get n/s or e/w. I have 5 maps of the same area and just hit the knob bottom left and you go to a new map. Takes about 10 seconds for the maps to become live so do each map serperatley. Only click on the first part of lat or long. ie -41 or 173 not the whole thing.

Looks like this is all discontinued, too bad.
Only the R8 PRO is discontinued and replaced by similar ARCHER Plus R8 now, however the GPS ADV can work with any receiver either with SmartPort or new FBUS protocols. The setup with other receivers will be a little bit different as you may need to program a pin to SmartPort or FBUS mode.
