as a freelance developer, I spend over 50% of my development time building things for myself and my family too > its all good practice for the other %50 of the time when I build the money makers.
Thank you for this video. I have to admit it’s pretty hard to start everything (code, marketing, …) but as you mentioned : It will serve us for the second, third, fourth… projects
Hey Gino! I'm also in the process of developing my first SaaS application (just for practice) and I'm currently in the design phase. So, your insights came at a great time. Best of luck with your app! :)
Even though I know this stuff, I still found your video helpful. I'm currently "rebuilding" my app, and I'm always looking for ideas. I'm definitely subscribing to follow you on your journey!
Would appreciate tips on best practices when asking for feedback. Stuff like 1. how to cut down on repeats 2. question checklist 3. letting your users know already known issues
Hey mate! Honestly I don't know, as I haven't launched and don't have any users yet. I want to make a lot of videos about things like this though so stay tuned :)
I'm building AI SaaS for a client and idea and validation part is sorted by them. I started with database and backend before UI/UX. Like you, I'm yet to deploy, and probably will not do until frontend is ready. But client are getting paranoid so I need to change this and deploy a minimal app first. Even a page with no functionality will work for them, says a guy who's been doing this for long.
@@ginothedev hell yea brother! Take Slack for example. The biggest communication platform for companies came from bits and pieces of failed ventures from the owner. If you haven't read up on it. Really good read. Im actually in the process myself of wanting to start my one business of a SAAS for B2C to even a design agency. Whats important is to get started and let everyone know your stuff.
I actually have read that about Slack, super cool story. And definitely agree that getting started and getting eyeballs on your product are the most important, but this channel is nice for both of those!

Love it, something that's super cool about being a developer
True, you learn so much by doing things you like/are not directly money makers

Glad you agree, thanks for the comment!

For UI/UX simply buy a mobile app template and build from there. Saves a lot of time.
I’m not building a mobile app tho 😅
Like for the bubu and dudu reference!

Sounds like a good strategy for the whole project, but I see how that paranoia could be difficult to work with.
Good job mate!
Thank you! Cheers!
I was just wondering if RUclips could provide a feature to put all videos of a channel to my watch later playlist at once :)
Hi Gino, interesting insights! :) gave you a follow.
Thanks mate, I appreciate that!
Good vid 🎉
Thanks mate!
What's your tech stack?
I’ll be making a video on this in the next week or two!
Just remember every big time application utilized smaller parts from failed attempts.
So true, that's my mentality for this first one
