i appreciate the fact you didn't collect any trees Nigel. You were there to enjoy and record the beauty and wonder of that very special place for all of us. Thank you for your great videos!
What a fun outing! The gardens were quite special and eccentric. When I view such a garden, I always think of how much work and time it took to create. The owners must be naturally very energetic folks, though as he noted , they are slowing down in their later years. I’ve read about the Wollemi Pine but have yet to have the fortune to see one . It looked vigorous.
I know Im randomly asking but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Mathias Jayson thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Mister Saunders, you are very lucky to live in Canada, what a beautiful country. Thank you very much for sharing this great video. Grtz from Amsterdam , The Netherlands.

So jealous. I was supposed to come on this trip and had to opt out. At least I get to experience it on your channel. It looks like it was a beautiful trip and a fun day. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, what an incredible place ! I really liked the old apple trees and observatory. I thought that sun dial was really cool as I haven't seen one like that either. The owner of the property must be one interesting guy to talk to !
Just for interest sake, being an Aussie I thought I'd let you know that the Wollemi Pine is pronounced " WOL - EM - EYE ". It was only know by fossil records until discovered in the Wollemi National Park in 1994. Love your video's & keep em comin. Cheers from Oz.
I finally got to watch part 2. Wow! Beautiful! We are in full fall here, leaves are falling off the trees now. Middle of nowhere is really peaceful isn't it! Where are your trees?
It was an amazing day, reminded me of being a kid, just wandering around discovering new things! I didn't dig up any trees, at the moment I have enough to keep me busy, it was tempting though!
I wish my woods were that open. Our entire 25 acres of woods is waist high with itch weed/nettles and burrs. It's so thick you litteraly can't even see the forest floor. Makes it almost impossible to scout for trees untill late fall. I'm in Minnesota so your scenery there looks very similar to ours. Super jealous you got a group of enthusiasts to go out collecting with! Love the videos!
I love all your videos and you are always so helpful with my bonsai problems. I recently moved to a home and squirrels are digging in my bonsai pots and even wood pecker birds are messing with my bigger bonsai trees. What do I do to combat them?
I have had squirrel problems in the past, the best defense is to eliminate their escape routes. A fence around your bonsai area will make them feel trapped if they go inside. This will keep them away, as they can't quickly escape if they are in danger. Using inorganic bonsai soil can help stop animals from digging in your soil and you can also use forks placed upright in your soil to make it difficult for anything to actually get to the soil surface. Frequent visits to your bonsai area will also discourage them from visiting.

Great ! Nigal love UKULELE HOLLY and FAMILY
Beautiful! What ever happened to your greenhouse that you got last fall? Have you made any progress?
Wow, look at that apple tree side profile face on the trunk when you enter
I think you have to visit the Analemma (?) Project at local noon. The shadow of the noontime sun traces out that figure-8 through the year.
Very nice
Bonsai channel turning into man vs wild

Nigel... I must correct you... you were in heaven.. God’s Country!!!
The Toronto club is heading back there in spring, I'd go just for the scenery!
tick heaven lol
How would the apple tree hollow out like that?
Is that just from rot?
Yes I guess, the water gets into the trunk via old pruning scars and rots the core of the apple, maybe also with the help of insects and fungus
This video is giving me the beginning of a horror movie vibe is it just me?
180th damn!
I live in the wrong time zone for the bonsai zone!!
how do you not get lost?!?
Volunteer Veggie garden.
