Excellent review! The only experience I have with these games is the SNES version of Jurassic Park. I remember not understanding what I was doing, so I didn't get really far. I also remember seeing the Genesis version in gaming magazines and I was so jealous with the graphics (I didn't have a Genesis back then)! I may get this if the price goes down. Thanks for posting this!
I was the opposite. I had the genesis version and I wanted the SNES version but I never owned an SNES in my life, because my dad was a Sega fanboy. I owned a Saturn and Dreamcast after the Genesis. The Lost World JP game on the genesis was actually a lot more like the JP1 SNES game so I was happy about that.
I hope you'll give Rampage Edition another chance :) I played both Mega Drive / Genesis games and love them for what they are, and for their differences. Rampage is so delightfully over the top :D Thanks for the review!

@whatsitlikeau Chaos Continues is Contra levels of hard. It's just trial and error. You can turn on easy mode in the options and having someone else to play with does help a little.
@@whatsitlikeauOne thing I love about the early JP video games is how they take elements from the novel, like destroying the raptor nests and the river raft chase scene.

@@whatsitlikeau there will be no add on because of one reason: the game(s) were sold on cardridge. Imagine how the buyers of physical Version will hate against LRG😞
These games were hard then and they are hard now and really a product of their time. The NES/SNES versions are in dire need of a map and objective menu, and the platforming of the Genesis versions are slippery, some of the missions are quite difficult that will require patience and many retry’s, Chaos Continues is just hard and some of the enemy placement is unfair as they don’t allow you to be able to shoot them without suffering massive damage or falling. I’d rate the games in this collection a 6/10. The only Jurassic Park game I liked was for the GameGear/Master System.
Thats fair enough. I really enjoyed the games in these collections but since posting it, a lot of people have let me know there's a lot of games missing that could have been included.

@@whatsitlikeau The Both Jurassic Park from the Sega Genesis,it's a shame that there is not included The Lost World,it was the best one 😞,maybe in a future patch? 😞
Going to admit, I found this a very disappointing collection, and this is coming from a Jurassic Park fan who was chomping at the bit to get this game. There's no extras besides the jukebox; not even manual scans or menus to explain controls and objectives, meaning unless you know the games already, then you're going in 100% blind at what everything does, items or even the controls. Heck, even the menu maps of the Nintendo titles are generally bare bones, basically being just a JPEG map image of the background you can zoom about with no sign of objectives or enemies. There's also no option to configure controls to your desired control setting and I witnessed some major graphical issues with the SNES game's HUD on the PS4 version unless I used the smoothing filter to correct it. I won't hold this against them either, but the Sega 8 bit and maybe the PC/Amiga Jurassic Park games as well should have as well been part of the collection as they are different enough to warrant addition. I'm not sure if rights were a thing with the Sega 8 bit, but given the PC/Amiga game was Ocean, the same as the Nintendo ones, that feels a very odd exclusion. It really feels this collection was the bare mimimum they wanted to do and I feel cheated of the $60 I had to pay for it, when other games for the same value have had so many other features, games and extras crammed in.
