I really like both George's and Howard's layouts, they are absolutely magnificent. One thing i really appreciate about Howard's, though, is that he has kept the era consistent, old time cars and steam locomotives. George's on the other hand, has structures and automobiles showing the layout to be depression era yet he has diesels that were more commonplace in the late 40's and through the 50's.
I can not fathom the amount of talent it takes to do this, nor can I fathom who could possibly have the time or money to build something like this. I remember seeing this layout and that of John Allen in railroad magazines when I was younger. That does not even consider the effort it takes to maintain it and keep it running. WOW
Clearly George Sellios and Howard Zane belong on the "Mount Rushmore of Model Railroading" with John Allen. There are others, I'm sure fellow modellers would like to nominate, but that would be a long & open debate....lol. These guys have pushed the envelope to a point, that the rest of us aspire to !!!!! Thanks for posting Al.
Hey folks wait until the 4K HD upload is completed an about an hour. You can hit the settings cog and view in HD. If you dont see the red HD icon tune back in a little later once the HD upload is complete. Once this is done the color and clarity will be light years better. If you view it freshly posted it will look grainy. Thanks
Just checking the videos now. Not that I'm surprised....but everything is fantastic. George is my #1 modeling hero and inspiration. Happy you took some "slow views" of different areas (...I didn't think it was that fast). Glad you had a great time and thank you for uploading these videos.
Thank you for filming this amazing layout. I think I have watched this video 10 times over already lol and counting. George is such a talent and his layout is a pure delight and inspiration. I just noticed that at about 11:53 if you pause the video you will see Batman and Robin standing on top of the TWS building with the large yellow billboard. I enjoy finding "easter eggs" like that in layouts! I plan on adding a couple myself. Thank you so much again Al for sharing this video.
Thanks for watching and ive got 1 more I will post this weekend. Fine Scale Miniatures kits part 2 on the layout plus im going to talk more about the Fine Scale kits
I doubt it was intentional as I understand you have move along as there are other visitors. But this one view you captured at 13:13 looks fantastic. It's almost like looking at an old NYC as the scene continues and continues through to the backdrop. Though I know that they are two separate cities in that view (South Manchester and Fillmore / Fillmore Yard). George's layout is mind-boggling!
Thank you 😊 a great video of the masters layout you did capture things I have not seen as yet ,I live in Australia and my little daughter of 3 has just turned to me and said”I will take you there one day daddy “I can only hope she does 🥰🥰❤️🥲😁👍
There is NO doubt in my mind that THIS IS THEE GREATEST MRR ever Ever EVER E V E R to have been built, in the history of the hobby..... PERIOD !!!

The attention to detail on the FS&M is absolutely incredible! The more I watch videos and see pictures the more in awe I am of Mr Sellios's work.
Wow, thank you!
