Listened to Eve this morning. Amazing album. Dopest concept for a hip hop album in a while. Definitely grammy worthy. You can hear the growth on this album. One of best albums of 2019. Everybody needs to listen to this album. Especially black women of all ages. Best album from a woman in hip hop since Miseducation. Very important album. Fire.
What people don't know is Rapsody is really cut from dat cloth. She came from the underground battle rap scene & she been killing it for years. I know some folks in North Carolina and they went to school with her & they claimed she used to be battling dudes in the hallway every lunch break & she would win & kill em all. She can really go toe to toe with any battle rapper in the game male or female & she could possibly win them to. She been doing her thing since 2005.
hiiipower iii I don't know her/never met her....but my town Ayden is right next to Snow Hill, which is were she is from. Afeni Shakur was from Lumberton
Salute to this Queen. Its sad that some fans limit themselves to the main stream, there is way more dope music thats not main stream than is, so dont limit yourself. Salute to great music period.
HER (EVE) ALBUM IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS, PERIOD...THAT ALBUM HAD MY MIND IN A DEEP STATE...AND IT ALSO FEELS NICE TO SEE A FEMALE RAPPER WITH HER CLOTHES ON...
I saw Rapsody on the Breakfast Club the other day. I was impressed by her aura and decided to checkout her album. One of the best albums Ive ever heard in my life from beginning to end! ShineOn! Phenomenal! You will not be disappointed, Incredible! Much love Mz Rapsody!

I first became a fan of Rapsody when I first heard Good Good Love feat. BJ the Chicago Kid. Spotify be putting me on to some hidden gems. I swear it never lets me down.
Look everybody. A super talented rapper that writes her own lyrics, she’s beautiful, and doesn’t have to show any skin to sell records. Real MC’s still exists. ❤️
Starting at 14:56 Cardi is discussed where she promoted Raspody recently. Rapsody said Cardi is a leader for simply supporting other female artist. We are not one sided...I listen to them all. Just like I can listen to Uncle Luke and Kendrick Lamar and enjoy. Its music...stop with the lame comparisons, putting down other successful artist. Rapsody wanted Cardi on her album....its all love.
Sway's Universe has been coming through for us as viewers even more than usual. I'm a fan of everyone on the show: Sway, Heather B., Tracy G. and Rapsody. Rapsody killed it with the freestyle from the earlier show they played as a reminder of her energy as a true MC with bars and freestyle chops. She's a creator and is a lovely true embodiment of all the best, purest, and strongest aspects of the spirit of Hip-Hop. From the way she honored Queen Latifah by sharing how kind and cool she was from Day 1 and about the love shared between Rapsody and Cardi B to the leadership by example principals she equipped listeners with in the interview. I'm a fan of everyone mentioned on the show including the legends GZA and D'Angelo with Ibtihaj. Rapsody's new album Eve is a must-listen. I enjoyed this interview with Rapsody so much. In addition to her obvious talents as a celebrated musician and artist, she contributes a lot more to the Hip-Hop culture with her own personal values. I love how she said she's calling on the culture to return to the roots of educating listeners like how it was in the early days when the majority of the music was used as a way of communicating messages to one another about historically important people and why we should care about learning from their legacies. She gave Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman as two great examples of historically significant role models who helped change the world for the better. She urged us to avoid the temptation of getting blinded by the temporary glamour and glitz of materialism since all the money in the world can't save our soul and that we are of infinite more value as a human being than any lifeless object could ever be. That's powerful how the expectant father called to say he chose Rapsody as a role model for her and commended her for the many ways she impressed him as a good example for young women to look up to. I was impressed with her answers to asking God about why day isn't seen in space and why couldn't Adam and Eve have a second chance. Those were both thought-provoking to me. If anyone's interested, that reference to Christ being the 2nd and Last Adam can be found in 1 Corinthians 15:45-47. Everything our ancestors lost us in the garden, God gave back to us as human beings because Christ ransomed us from the curse of the fall and broke it once and for all with his sinless blood. Interesting topic I found thought-provoking and probably wouldn't have thought about unless she included it as one of the questions. (Kangaroo for the win.) Rapsody practices what she preaches because she's putting on for the next generation(s) with education about powerful abolitionists and women's rights activists with tracks like Sojourner and Harriet Tubman.
Since She Got Game I've been on Rapsody that mixtape Came out in 2013... been a Dope artist if you dont like her.... her bars might be to over the head like a hood... Rap keep doing ya thing i Salute you beautiful Queen... a woman that can captivate my mind is The Idea of Beautiful...
