John Wick has curtain hair/mid parted hair. You can see it when he looks more well-groomed in some photos, but then it gets messier and turns into that.

I have top knot. I went from full bun to a top knot because i was getting tired of dealing with long ass hair. My hair length is definitely long so I can also create a messy top knot which gives aesthetics of messy bun. as long as you can pull it off, top knot is still in fashion. it goes great with my full beard look. go for it. if you don't think it works for you you can then cut it off.

Only the lower back and sides of my head don't reach yet. The sides can be kept in place with some product, so I just need to wait a month or two before I can finally enjoy that sweet man bun. Patience is the key, of course. ^^
