Great video. After watching your video I have decided to get the 5800 as it has all the features I would ever need especially the two-sided scan-copy. Thanks much.
Can you give me a quick major difference between the Epson ET 5800, Epson ET 16600 and Epson ET16650 Which one of the three is the newest also? Thank you
Thanks for the review! Something I noticed missing on a lot of reviews lately is the “first page out” time. I’m not referring to printing a built in report like print head alignment, but how long does it take to print out roughly standard document? Thanks for considering adding this to future reviews!
I just came across what it is you're talking about. If you type in a printer model, and then type in spec sheet PDF into Google. You should have all the data to be pulled up and first page out will be one of those data points.
New ET-5800 delivered yesterday, watched your great video this morning, and began setup. Followed instructions, now the printer is stuck with "Paper Jam" error message. After several attempts following directions, no paper is detected (printer has not even been setup to print), error message continues. Restarting printer and power reset of no help. Hesitate to do a factory reset. Contacted Epson support, but it sound like it could be up to 24 hrs for tech support. I don't expect you to troubleshoot, but just wondered, with all your printer experience, if you have encounter this problem before. Again, I appreciate your videos, and hope to enjoy using the ET-5800 soon. Thanks
Excelente producto, excelente video que detalla todo lo necesario, indudablemente la impresora para trabajar profesionalmente, definitivamente la necesito, saludos desde Cuba
Hello , just saw your video which is a very complete, thanks ! Against the gx7021 , the Epson is as fast but the et-5850 is faster (same speed black and color), it can print without margins while the canon can’t but the canon can do a single pass copy. I think the biggest issue with the gx7021 is the screen : the epson screen looks like way better. What’s your opinion between the gx7021 and the et-5800 ? Anyway thanks again
Quality third party ink usually is fine. The Epson SureColor P9000 for example, always had an issue with one of the blacks, matt black I believe. Always on their own ink. As soon as the machine had quality third party ink, that nozzle never became clogged again. From what I can recall is that the best (from the wide format range) from Epson are the T series machines, all 3000, 3200, 5000, 5200, 7000, 7200. The Stylus pro's are just too damn slow. On the other hand, I haven't yet worked on the new SureColor T seriesachine that got released last year so I don't know if they got better or worse. Usually shrinking the footprint of a machine can either be done very well or very horribly. Regarding this machine, what does worry me is the lack of (at least I couldn't spot it) maintaince tank, hope it doesn't have that crap sponge at the back which will need to be replaced.
Thanx for the video. Great office printer with low cost running. I would not buy this for here at home due to the price. A couple of months ago i bout a Brother MFC-L3770 laser printer less that half the price of this one however it is quite expensive being a laser and using Brother genuine carts to run. When the warranty expires I'll switch to 3rd party carts.
Thanks for the review. I’m a bit limited on space - would you know the dimensions with the output tray open? And since the output tray automatically extends when printing, what happens if the last bit of the opening is blocked by something kept in front temporarily?
@@BestPrinters thanks. The problem is that I need duplex scanning and it seems like the smaller ones don’t have that. What happens if something is kept in front of the printer temporarily and blocks the output tray from fully extending when a print job is started?
Maybe u should invent, what I would call a printer hood. Some piece of plastic that could go over a printer to significantly reduce the chance of ink drying out. Especially when it sits idol in an environment that does not have a lot of humidity for long periods of time.
@@BestPrinters The video was very nice, thank you. Is the color print speed of Epson et 5800 vs 5850 the same? On the Epson official website it says 12ppm for the 5800 and 25ppm for the 5850. If they both use the same printhead, why is there such a difference? I don't understand exactly why I need to pay more for et 5850? I always print in color, which one should I buy?
Does the printer have automatically retracted printed paper tray? If so they are very "innovative" how to ruin your longevity on otherwise nice printer.
Good content, but honestly you need to do a better job editing or memorizing what you want to say. Your constant video cuts are very disruptive. Also, audio volume is inconsistent, which is likewise disruptive.

Hi, yes I have experienced trouble with printers right out of the box. In that case I will usually exchange the printer right away and get a new one.
@@BestPrinters Appreciate your advice. Printer being returned and exchanged via amazon. Thanks, again.

Torn between this and the 8500 model. I’m a homeschool mom, who prints a lot of colorful materials. Which one can you recommend?
Hi, I would go with the 8500 it is more geared towards creative & colorful printing.
@@BestPrinters thank you so much

It actually has the maintenance tank on the front, I am coming out with a video on it soon.
From the app is it possible to quickly select which tray to print from?
Yes.

Good choice Paul!
I love mine ive had it a year iys expensive but its worth it
Nice!
Hi , what is the depth with only the back of the printer only from back to the back of the tank cartridge not including any part of the trays ?
Thanks for the review. I’m a bit limited on space - would you know the dimensions with the output tray open?
And since the output tray automatically extends when printing, what happens if the last bit of the opening is blocked by something kept in front temporarily?
About 7'-8' inches. I would definitely consider the 4850 good features but much smaller.
@@BestPrinters thanks. The problem is that I need duplex scanning and it seems like the smaller ones don’t have that.

@@BestPrinters I needed 2 sided scanning. Any recommendations for options with it?
Epson lists the printer depth at 32.4 inches. Is this dimension with the output paper tray open?
I looking for a high quality ink that will work for my Epson Eco Tank ET-4850
Here is my reccomendation, amzn.to/49ZDXle

i ask if i can do auto duplex scan through adf
Yes
does it come with a usb cable?
No
What's the max paper size for tray 2??
Please click on the Lincoln the description for the printer. The specifications will be on the Amazon page.
How do I use the 2nd tray
Select it in the paper settings.
Does the printer have automatically retracted printed paper tray? If so they are very "innovative" how to ruin your longevity on otherwise nice printer.
When it starts printing, the paper tray is deployed but it doesn’t retract automatically. You have a button for that
True

yes sir
I came here specifically to learn how to take the tape off the print head and you skipped showing us how to do it.
Wow, would've never figured, I usually include in some other videos that I've done lol
