even with horrible camerawork, I think that's one of SKZ's best performances, the choreography, the story-telling, live vocals, everything was so perfect. This show is a game changer and every year they just give us better and better stages, you can not deny their hard work, I'm already looking forward to next year's SKZ MAMA show!

@Ludvig camera work is definitely not fine lol especially during venom, they kept cutting mid performance to show a different cut and angle all the time, not to mention half the time it was either too far or too close where even dance moves and their positions are not properly shown

It's just that none of the music awards have been the same as what we used to get before 2019. and I'm sick of poor performances that nowadays idols and companies keep giving us. So when you see all the performances of MAMA day 1, SKZ's performance stands out the most though it wan't one of their best. I just convinced myself maybe they're just powering up and saving the best version of perforamce which includes many of their masterpiece songs for another award.

This group really is consistent with everything and that's when you know they are going to go a long way. I am not a fan but I keep checking them out from time to time and this is what I call a stage. They did so great I don't think words can be enough appreciation for the sheer effort, talent and skill they showcased. This should receive standing ovations.
I couldn't agree more with you! When I came across Stray Kids early this year I felt like there was a consistency that really stood out to me in their music and performances. That it had me coming back again and again for more. Personally I'm completely smitten at this point. lol but I just appreciated the way you worded that. They are awfully consistent in everything they do and that really showcases their abilities with all they put forth and will continue to give.
no one is talking about him, so I will. I know he didn’t get much screen time, none of them did really tbh. but Han KILLED it. His live rap in Venom, live vocals in Maniac, he danced so much more aggressively than before. Han never fails to amaze me. Plus he’s ethereal.
Han's live performances are just so persistent. The rap is always crisp and powerful, and I've been a huge stan since seeing him hitting those crazy high notes in Kingdom. He's gonna do great things!!

Same here! 10 years almost. I've stopped watching MAMA like around 2017/2018 because that was the time most of the goog groups stopped attending and I didn't like what the ceremony became like, it was really boring... But this year I found Skz and they were the only reason I woke up at 5am today once again to see an award show like I did several times back in 2014/2015 🥺 they're too good and hard working
ufff, me too. I'm listening kpop since 2008 I think, I enjoyed a lot of groups, so many artist that I could appreciated. But when I finally start listened to SKZ with attention, and knew about how they worked from the begining in their music, their lyrics, their tracks just hits differents, cuz you can conect with their throught and feelings for real, not someone else lyrics, their own throught. From there, the style they have to rap is something beautiful... and the angelic voice too. THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT but can complet as a group so well. I love them so much, they are growing every day as artist and person. LEE KNOW, his cats are adopted, I definetily fell in love with such pure soul. How many Idols do that?

I need to dissagree with it. Let me xplain.. As a baby Stay, i could already tell SKZ is very good at live performances (they are one of the best). They live singing while their energy on stage was never lacking or i would even say the energy was sooooo overwhelming. But they're quite uncoordinated or not synchronized like what newer k-fans says. SKZ was the concert performance typa group. Even non Stay will likes and hyped up by their performances i'm sure. This is my conclusion about SKZ stage performances. While for award winning like this,, it needs much more considerations to pick the winner. Like synchronized or not, the choreo itself, their tv show performances maybe,, etc. So if SKZ didn't win best/great performance award, for me it's super reasonable.

I started crying halfway through because I realized that they ARE artists, they make their own work. And then to perform with so much passion, flare, and make the stage seem bigger than life... they really do live for this. I love them so much. After finding Stray Kids, I really never had to look for an artist that has everything I wanted - it's them. And I think it always will be them. My quintessential artists.

The lights, the props, the size of the stage, the CGI, the background screen, the concert hall, the concert speakers especially cause just listen to the amount and weight of bass they put in there. And the best thing they utilized is themselves of course giving 1000% effort
Agreed. And kept everything balanced so no one thing was overwhelming another or distracting from where the focus should be. Like, the background animations weren't drawing eyes away from the choreo, and the sets weren't overwhelming the size of the dance formations. Everything was so well used and incorporated to make a seamless whole that flowed from one section to another masterfully!
It makes me so happy to see people appreciate the people working behind the scenes. I studied media back in high school and there's so much effort and work put into fixing all the lightning, visuals, props, sound and etc for the performance

We had gotten really far into the project before it had to be canceled due to Covid. It really sucked because we put months into that project. We put alot of blood sweat and tears into it and that was nothing compared to this show

Honestly I'm still amazed. Stray kids did so well. I can tell they really wanted to do well and show their best effort. I'm only mad about the camera quality and angles. I think fan clips of their performance have been great at showing the little things that made their stage even more amazing.

I'll forever be impressed with how Stray Kids manage to always outdo themselves. They are constantly changing up their performances and adding something new to them which in return makes them memorable. @@CoronelOcioso probably the opposite- no drugs and being in their twenties as well as doing that insane choreography quite often. Plus the adrenaline from performing. I know that in that kind of situation you can get a lot out of you body if you want to.
they prepared for this stage for 1 month so they did have the stamina finish this they're just exhausted to see at the end cuz they're body is not conditioned to the new environment in Japan, at that place it's hot. Plus the clothes and ofc the added pressure to perform finally and last among others.
They're really were pushing their limits. I.N fell from dance exhaustion as soon the lights went out after their performance. They were all breathing hard for air at the end. They alwaya put in all their energy into their every move & work extra hard to give an exceptional performance.
I’d say congrats to Chan first. He chose the members & group name, & made the logo. 3racha produces everything & ofc all the other members help as well. Chan really made an amazing group
Felix’s stage presence. He really does have this kind of hypnotic gaze when he dances. It’s like he transforms into a different person. There really is an amazing duality with him on and off stage. You can see how far he’s come since his back injury. Amazing

It's just that none of the music awards have been the same as what we used to get before 2019. and I'm sick of poor performances that nowadays idols and companies keep giving us. So when you see all the performances of MAMA day 1, SKZ's performance stands out the most though it wan't one of their best. I just convinced myself maybe they're just powering up and saving the best version of perforamce which includes many of their masterpiece songs for another award.

I am not a fan but I keep checking them out from time to time and this is what I call a stage. They did so great I don't think words can be enough appreciation for the sheer effort, talent and skill they showcased. This should receive standing ovations.

I couldn't agree more with you! When I came across Stray Kids early this year I felt like there was a consistency that really stood out to me in their music and performances. That it had me coming back again and again for more. Personally I'm completely smitten at this point. lol but I just appreciated the way you worded that. They are awfully consistent in everything they do and that really showcases their abilities with all they put forth and will continue to give.

Han's live performances are just so persistent. The rap is always crisp and powerful, and I've been a huge stan since seeing him hitting those crazy high notes in Kingdom. He's gonna do great things!!

ufff, me too. I'm listening kpop since 2008 I think, I enjoyed a lot of groups, so many artist that I could appreciated. But when I finally start listened to SKZ with attention, and knew about how they worked from the begining in their music, their lyrics, their tracks just hits differents, cuz you can conect with their throught and feelings for real, not someone else lyrics, their own throught.
From there, the style they have to rap is something beautiful... and the angelic voice too. THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT but can complet as a group so well.
I love them so much, they are growing every day as artist and person.

As a baby Stay, i could already tell SKZ is very good at live performances (they are one of the best). They live singing while their energy on stage was never lacking or i would even say the energy was sooooo overwhelming. But they're quite uncoordinated or not synchronized like what newer k-fans says. SKZ was the concert performance typa group. Even non Stay will likes and hyped up by their performances i'm sure. This is my conclusion about SKZ stage performances. While for award winning like this,, it needs much more considerations to pick the winner. Like synchronized or not, the choreo itself, their tv show performances maybe,, etc. So if SKZ didn't win best/great performance award, for me it's super reasonable.

Agreed. And kept everything balanced so no one thing was overwhelming another or distracting from where the focus should be. Like, the background animations weren't drawing eyes away from the choreo, and the sets weren't overwhelming the size of the dance formations. Everything was so well used and incorporated to make a seamless whole that flowed from one section to another masterfully!
It makes me so happy to see people appreciate the people working behind the scenes. I studied media back in high school and there's so much effort and work put into fixing all the lightning, visuals, props, sound and etc for the performance

We had gotten really far into the project before it had to be canceled due to Covid. It really sucked because we put months into that project. We put alot of blood sweat and tears into it and that was nothing compared to this show

Honestly I'm still amazed. Stray kids did so well. I can tell they really wanted to do well and show their best effort. I'm only mad about the camera quality and angles. I think fan clips of their performance have been great at showing the little things that made their stage even more amazing.

they prepared for this stage for 1 month so they did have the stamina finish this they're just exhausted to see at the end cuz they're body is not conditioned to the new environment in Japan, at that place it's hot. Plus the clothes and ofc the added pressure to perform finally and last among others.
They're really were pushing their limits. I.N fell from dance exhaustion as soon the lights went out after their performance. They were all breathing hard for air at the end. They alwaya put in all their energy into their every move & work extra hard to give an exceptional performance.

I love this mama version of the songs. They always do something different. The way they just bolted across the stage at the end just increased the energy ten folds time and hyped it up even more. The power they had! Talk about screen presence! And that scream 'Stray Kids Everywhere All Around The World' was so iconic!
