    Surprised it still looks so much like the IVA suits. Can’t tell what design exactly they went for with the joints; would love to see what they look like under the outer covering.

    And cost the price of 100 tesla model S. lol
    No idea of the real cost, but if it performs well in space, my hat is off to SpaceX for such an incredible looking suit. May the 4th be with you all.

      They're probably very expensive right now, but eventually they'll have a factory churning out millions (hopefully).

      @@TaurusSpace These specifically, but just like how these were adapted from the pressure suits, future space suits and Mars suits will probably be adapted from these.

      NASA Eva costs 250mil per piece. Granted NASA has life support in a backpack and this doesn't (yet)

      Umbilical cord for air and power. Not for walking on the moon.

    • @jakemon4550
      @jakemon4550 23 дня назад +3

      @@avgjoe5969 I mean you could just make sure the umbilical is rated for moon dust, honestly this might be the best way forward since as an astronaut you will probably never be that far from your ship or rover anyways so why not have like a fifty foot umbilical and just drive your rover close to where you want to get out and do work. Won't always work but for the majority of time you can probably do without an EVA backpack with built in life support.

    Just want to be sure that the visor can't be accidentally opened in space -- Gemini had the "locking bar" that clamped the visor against the helmet, and everything after that was either a "fishbowl" or other "fixed visor" with added layers over it.

    Идеальный скафандр это такой в котором можно легко рукой почесать задницу и пятки. А еще он должен иметь средство радио связи без использования полу проводников и радиоламп и даже без батарей электропитания. А это нужно вспоминать и совершенствовать самые первые в мире радиприемники и передатчики 130 летней давности. Применять пьезо эффект для генерации или угольные микрофоны. Подобрать диапазон волн и форму антенн где все это будет хорошо работать.

    Это оживило космические полёты. Рейтинг зашкаливает. Для нэокомунистов, нефть, золото, навар ушли на второй план. Поножовщина уходит на второй план. Даже тот кто думал что нет другой цели в жизни набивание кишки и получение кайфа, начинают соображать. Уж точно скажу, кто думал что он потомок обезьян, перестали обезьянничать на некоторое время, извилины зашевелились. ❤
