Wolf Bite Tiny was by far the craziest. As a support player, there was nothing quite as scary as a hasted wolf running at you with 500 base damage and a 1,000 magic damage nuke a mere 20 minutes into the game.
These videos are not just hero retrospectives but also really nice history of the game, as someone that's played on and off for years I love the sections that exist during times I played and loved the game and the ones that show the times I didn't play. Thank you for these videos, I'm only one fan but I greatly appreciate you making these.
I imagine the story of Rubick or invoker would be interesting as they had alot of changes. Looking forward for the meepo one: the hardest hero ever existed in dota.
Great story as always. One thing that can help future videos is you can make a short (not short literally i mean take some minute) videos about last TI for existing heroes you already made to have complate history book. Keep it up man
I will keep watching and sharing these with everyone I know who would be interested. This video series deserves all the attention in the world and I keep rewatching these all the time. I hope they buff tiny he’s so cool but playing him just feels bad rn
Narrated like a true history... keep this up! Edit: I played my first Dota 1 Game in 2007 with my big brother guiding, he made me choose according to the face of the hero I LIKED the most... and I picked, Tiny... Those sassy LIPS made me hooked. Sadly, I never get good on playing this stone giant.
I've been watching Baumi for over seven years now. Always knew he was a good storyteller. I'm glad he finally made a side-channel that REALLY showcases how good he tells stories. Cheers from Myanmar.
I remember for Ti10 how you talked about tiny's talent being bugged and providing insane bonus damage, glad it made it into the video! Also congrats on the sponsorship
I saw the video was posted two hours ago. and i don't have time to watch it now. BUT i hope it shows the toss death into buyback stun cause that is one of my fav pro moments ever
When you mentioned that silver edge went a long journey it gave me a idea, what if there were bonus videos talking about the performance of itens on ti? would be interesting seeing the journey of some of the most popular items of dota like BKB and MKB
@@PoliPantev to be honest the most popular on dota is probably something like aghs or blink but mkb and bkb are the first that came into my mind because were the first items that i discovered on dota so they are stuck in my mind
I think outside of boots, the most popular items were BKB, Force Staff and blink. You can barely see games without a combination of two out of three or all at once.
I'd love it if your future videos began with the analysis of how the hero impacted Dota 1, before Dota 2 ever released. A complete chronological analysis would be great
that is incredibly tough to pull off. while there are patch notes available. it's hard to find documented videos or posts how the meta changed over the years.
I am a Dota 1 old head and never played Dota 2 in my life but Baumi stories are fine with me as it mainly tell its narration in the lens of "The International" story book. I think mixing Dota 1 would probably make the story complicated.
@@thinkinginsideout4053 Mind I ask why you never played Dota 2? I'm not judging you or anything for I myself didn't get to play Dota 2 until early 2014 and months prior to that I was still stubbornly playing wc3 Dota a lot.
@@imfinishedgrinding638 I was at the end of my college years, after graduating and having a job, I was not able to play dota again but kept up with The Internationals to stay updated
I think the issue is finding fotage from that time, its not impossible but I'd imagine that one of the reason he looks at TI specifically beyond the obvious is that its rather easy to find most fotage
tossed allies also used to take damage back in dota 1 days also remember when ava-toss was originally a bug but Icefrog/Neichus couldn't fix it so they just gave up and called it a feature

Amazing video. Its really great how you explained tiny's TI performance and how it was impacted by the meta of that TI Even though many are aware of the meta of TI, its easy to over look the impact it had on tiny as some small changes impacted him greatly. With all seriousness, great job delivering this story, its obvious how hard it is to analyze this deep into tiny's history and every small mirco patch that changed the meta by benefiting one hero more than the rest. And yet you made it thrilling and easy to understand. Keep up the great work, i cant wait for the next video. The strongest burst hero and how he wasn't fit for early TI. Although on that note, you said agility increased instead of intelligence on 39:10, so what the hell baumi!! How could you ruin a story of dota video like that😂😂 Be better.
I stopred playing dota about 8 years ago but Tiny was one of my fav heros he could avalance if you had a good start all you needed was a a 7 min blink dagger and it was gg
imo tiny as a slow moving, slow attacking support / ganker which is devastating if teleported right on-top of you, made the most sense. carry tiny with super high attack speed or stacking a bunch of buffs with a million movement speed, conflicts with his identity as a sloth-like giant made of literal rocks. he can throw you around like a ragdoll but he isn't going to be right in the middle of all the action, super active in fights, dishing out fast and constant sustained damage. more sporadic burst damage that only really allows him to kill when blink dagger or relocate is off cooldown, or just playing for plain utility and standing around soaking damage for his team until toss is off cooldown, fits better for him. fits better with his identity. like i said i see him as a sloth pile of rocks, he can really hurt you but isn't constantly doing it, however every now and then when he finally gets his hands on someone, he can really hurt. either that, or the gentle giant support who more or less just moves things around, makes the most sense. though the super high attack and movement speed wolf running at you is funny and satisfying stricly because of how much it conflicts with him conceptually. just like he's named tiny even though it's really huge. it's a funny contradiction, so that style kinda mades some sense as well. the kind of satisfaction you can only get from a video game with rpg mechanics that let you build your character in different ways to define what they do yourself. but like i said i prefer him as a dumb sloth who mostly sits back and occasionally moves stuff around.
Baumi could you put time stamps on the videos? It takes me 2-3 days to finish a video and sometimes I forget the chapters and it would be really helpful if you had them.

I just hated playing dota that time, every game there was a tiny with buffs, and this hero was unstoppable
I love how you tell these stories like the characters are alive! "Tiny wasn't going to hold io back, he'd become his equal!" I love it!
ngl how you delivered the narrative of tiny and his pals got me lowkey emotional, so cute

Omg I would love a meepo video
Issue is just Meepo is probably also up there as the worst hero in Dota, atleast if you look at TI lol.
Like he hasnt been picked at TI since TI9
Rubick would be cool. Pretty sure he is litterally the most picked hero in competetive Dota
