Hi As you mentioned on the video, do you need to pickup the checked-in baggages/lugages or just your carry-one? Wouldn't the airline automatically transfer you baggages to your next destination or flight
Hello! You don't need to pick up checked bags in China. Your checked bags will go all the way to the destination city. You can only pick up your carry on bags in China.
I booked through Expedia. Although I have an itinerary number, will that be sufficient, since I didn’t book directly with the airline?

I’m planning to visit my best friend in Korea from New York (Im a Jamaican passport holder US permanent resident) but there will be a 21hr layover in Beijing with Air China on my way back. I saw on the China embassy website that travelers can have 24hr visa free transit in China but the terms were a bit confusing. Would I be able to go to the hotel without getting a visa since I’m leaving the airport? Would customs even allow me to go through without a visa? Please help if you can. Thank you~
Hello, Rika. Thank you for watching my video. Based upon the regulations that I have read, Jamaica is not among the 53 countries that China permits visa free transit. Jamaican citizens have to apply for a visa in order to exit the airport. If you stay in the airport, you don't need a visa. For more details, please contact your embassy. Hello, Czarina. Thank you for watching my video. The necessity of a visa is dependent on the country of your passports. China permits short stays without a visa for passengers arriving from specific countries only. If all of the passports are from a country on the list, you can stay in a hotel in China without a visa. If any of the passports are not from the list of permitted countries, you will not be permitted to leave the airport without a visa. Hello! Yes, there will be a shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The hotel that I stayed at had a shuttle every 30 mins from 6-8am (I think) and every hour after that. I didn't get out of the hotel because I got there late at night. But if I had arrived there earlier, I could have walked around the hotel. Also, you should be able to take a taxi/subway to get to the city as well. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you and enjoy the trip!
Korean ABC What is the number you call? I tried to call both US and China numbers - NO ONE picks up!! This makes me frustrated. There is no option to get a hotel from a website. How could you get a hold? I was on hold for hours!! Sorry you are my hope. Your vdo is the only vdo talking about air china transit.

I remember waiting for hours on the phone and giving up. The next day I tried again, and it worked. Please be aware that they are in CA, and you may want to call them during the business hours. I called them around 12pm eastern time, and someone picked up after waiting for 30mins-1hour (I don't remember exactly).

Ask you said to your video there is a bus that they will get them from the airport going to the hotel but do they have a bus that will be provided for the next day going to the airport?

Hi, thanks for the info.. im travelling with my wife and 3 young kids from Australia to pakistan via air china on pakistani passports. ive searched the internet and found that, with pakistani passport you dont get a 24 hours transit visa/stamp to leave the Airport. Would you know if Air china would accommodate us with free stay inside the airport. Its a 16 hour layover for us at Beijing airport before the next leg :(

You can opt for the lounge i am traveling with my father tomorrow and booked the lounge , but its only free for 4 hours
