  • Welcome to my homeschool channel! In this video, we will give you a look inside our morning menus! A morning menu is a restaurant menu cover that we use as a reusable dry erase book during our morning time.
    In our morning menu, we include a mix of papers including name practice, weather pages, memory verses, character trait development, Charlotte Mason style affirmations, hymn lyrics, tracing pages, and other memory work.
    I will show you the pages in our menus and then explain how we use them to kickstart our day of learning. Whether you are a homeschooling family or looking for ideas to supplement your child's education, we hope this video will inspire you to create your own morning menu!
    I love the reusability and sustainability of a morning menu. I love that it can be personalized to each child and changed up weekly, monthly, or seasonly.
    If you have a morning menu, let me know in the comments what you include in your morning menu! I love chatting in the comments and getting more ideas from you, the homeschool community, as well!
    Thank you for watching this video on Morning Menus, and don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more homeschooling content!

    I love this! Age-adjustable for each kid, seasonally swappable, and a fabulous way to have memory/recitation stuff in front of us but not sticky tacked all over the living room walls! 😊

    Hymns!?! Yes please. All day, every day. I think morning menus are cool. Even in the older grades. You've got a new sub. 🌻

    I love the idea of doing this! I've heard about it before, but haven't done it yet. This makes me want to get some myself and have the kids work on different things. It would be nice to include in a morning time basket and help create a semblance of order 😂 In the past I've just laminated a piece of paper and then they had that to draw and write on with dry erase markers. I hole punched them and added them to a binder. I still have tracing the alphabet ones and need to get them out for my kindergartner to practice.

    • @pillarsandpress

      Love that idea! The menu probably helps cut down on some of the prep work…. just print and stick it in there. But the binder is a great way to do something like this too!!!

    Did you have a hard time making these without the paper wanting to wrinkle and crinkle? I started putting these together and was going slow, had them doubled, and opened the plastic as much as possible, but it was HARD. Any tips or tricks? Or do I just need to get over the crinkles? ;)

    • @pillarsandpress
      @pillarsandpress  Год назад

      Oh goodness, yes!! It is hard! I did find a trick that works though- start putting it in like normal and then place your hand flat on the middle of the paper to slide it down to the bottom!

    Do you choosing the character traits yourself or are you following a programme?

    • @pillarsandpress

      In the past I chose the character traits myself! (I chose one for each letter of the Alphabet) But this year I'm using Character cards from September and Co. septemberandco.com/
