There is no legal way to use a thumbpick, you are just flouting the law. Can you tell us more about that guitar. It's very interesting, as is your playing :)

Ohh I know that one, have you tried playing in "lower" tunings? Half step down, open D or even drop D like I'm playing here. Adds a bit more depth to the sound
