There are 2 reasons why you got tyranny for revoking some titles. 1. For some reason, you concede your title revocation after using it once. It’s possible that you had to revoke multiple titles from 1 person, which would get you the tyranny. 2. You may have captured some vassals during the fighting and before you enforced demands. Again, for some reason, you don’t get a title revocation reason against them. So to avoid tyranny you would have needed to let them languish in prison at the risk of them escaping. Or perhaps you could banish them to get way less tyranny per banish
oh nice! i never realized taking multiple titles separately caused tyranny! i think that explains it as alot of them were just counts with a few titles! Thankyou for letting me know! will be careful with that in the future haha
its kije you can revoke the whole kingdom with 10 duchies and 50 cointies if theey are all de jure but the moment you revoke two counties from a count people get mad
You really don't need to grant every county to a different character. The best way for opinion and income is to give as many counties to the holder of the duchy as possible. It gives you more of an opinion boost from granting and avoids the not de jure liege penalty, and minimises internal wars (lower authority = lower income) and money being lost to vassals in-between. You had problems with the vassal limit before for the same reason. By the time you're a king almost all of your vassals should be dukes.
Splitting out then giving to dejure lead is also very good you get an extra one gold per title for the realm capital bonus and avoid dukes becoming too strong
I like splitting duchies between 2 or 3 vassals and giving the title to one of them, i don't like huge vassals, so i try to keep it a little more spread out.
@@ne0nmancer sometimes I do that at first when a single duke could be too powerful for me but once my army is strong enough I just grant the whole thing to the duke.
@@harryrimington9698 Sure but that money is being divided twice between each vassal (10% at average contribution). You'll get 0.01 gold for that 1 gold bonus, and every gold on top of that will be reduced as well. If you keep them as direct vassals you'll still only get 0.05 (50% not de jure penalty) AND a permanent reduced opinion AND you miss out on the way higher temporary opinion from granting more titles AND it's much harder to keep them happy manually. If you grant it all go one de jure duke you get 10% of all their income. Unless their income is insanely low I think that's always worth it. Either way yeah he should grant some duchies away, and maybe build some buildings (but I've never actually seen any RUclipsrs take buildings seriously)
@@SnapStrategy well I understand why someone would be confused considering I almost always hear that he converted to Catholicism which didn't really exist then
I find that some players really sleep on the demand conversion on release from prison. It saves so much more effort than revoking and then regranting the land. Just fix the problem by having the lord convert, and they're family converts with them, never an issue again.
That's really interesting because I had a capture/imprisonment of a completely unlanded Arabic dude from the forces of Crete when I steamrolled them as the Byz's. Anyway, I demanded conversion for him (which worked) and even gave him a duchy in modern day Serbia/Montenegro (I know right? An Islamic Orthodox Greek guy in a Serbian province duchy? What am I smoking?) but his sons still all believe in Muwalladism. So I figure I'm either going to need to sway his son's slowly over years or do something less nice if they don't convert upon inheritance.
One thing I've found is if you spike your tyranny up extremely high at one time while time is paused (mass title revokes after a war). You'll usually be fine as long as you don't commit an act of tyranny that leads to a war later. At that point every vassal except for the ones who really really like you will join that war as an attacker. Maximizing as much vassal opinion with feasts and granting titles helps alot. I'm not sure what the breaking point is but it needs to be fairly high for vassals not to join a tyranny war. I think at least +50.Bright side is when you die, your heir doesn't inherit your tyranny so sometimes I'll do a little mini tyranny right before death to better organize the realm while you have that nice long reign bonus counteracting your tyranny. Late stages in the game, the Generous trait and the thoughtful perk are absolutely broken for raising peoples opinions of you. You can basically get away with anything as long as you have money (huh, mimics real life), and it's so easy to have money by then. This is especially true if you're catholic, you can constantly request gold from the pope and then send a small portion of it back when their opinion gets below +20. So yeah, my late game typically ends up as me playing a generous tyrant who everyone inexplicably loves except for the people who had their lands and titles stripped away out of nowhere.
Clovis in real life converted to chaldean catolicism, the first ally barbarian kings thay got the pope, that is what the big deal of clovis been the first catholic king
You should use mono MaA, I.e. (in this case) all pikemen, also as a bonus, the building that buffs pikemen also buffs knights (and the buildings stack). This snowballs very quickly over time, resulting in a much stronger army. Also, you should have levelled up Clovis (when he was still your heir - can't do it reliably once heir becomes Ruler) to Legendary Blademaster.

I've got a question that you could possibly help me with. Bare with me because I have to explain the situation. My heir is a vassal and a Jarl in my kingdom secedes land from me after starting his own war. I know I can change his vassal contact so he doesn't wage war on his own, but is there another way?
