I'm rerecording "Complacent" immediately lol. I wish the second verse could have been played though. It was my favorite part. Even if it isn't reviewed. I want everyone to have a final version to enjoy.
I wasn’t sure if youd vibe with Off The Edge or not but figured I'd shoot my shot. The full track is out now everywhere but ill be making adjustments for the album dropping next month. If yall think the effects on the verse are too much I can turn them down. The hook uses a Vocoder and ive only used it a handfull of times so trying to get it to sound good wasn’t easy but I can take another look at it. Edit: Maybe the reason I could understand the lyrics is cause I wrote and recorded them but what do yall think?
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS!!!!!! Sooooo the first song, right. I kinda like it. Slim low-key ate, but he's ain't finish the plate! Ngl there's something almost insidious about that beat and the lil Drake nods I thought I was picking up on. I didn't even recognize that as a Drake beat, but I immediately thought DraaAaaAke right before he said started from the bottom. Maybe my brain had that stored somehow because I don't even listen to Buddy no more (it's been years). I think Slim is leaning into that, and that's why it's giving Drake. Snakes come out of da grass... Really??? Was that a play on Degrassi? And the use of the word entendre, which on it's face isn't that remarkable. But with the other Drake-isms it hits a lil different. Not sure Sir Duck Lips would even know that word if it wasn't for the beef lol. 7/10
