I've been listening to Sigur Rós in a pretty long time now, more than 10 years I guess. I've been since in a constant expedition searching for "VON" and now it is here. I'm writing this comment while holding a pause, 'cause when I'm pressing play I for sure know that I'm going to be lifted into another dimension. Have a nice trip everyone.
wow, i just hit view reply and it was me. I sure do love reading Sigur Ros comments. especially since i cant share my love with anyone who feels the same way about this sublime band in real life.

And while later Sigur Ros albums might be better in terms of actual songs....
There's something about this album that brings me back over and over. It's not really song-focused at all. It's more of this sonic dreamscape. Washes of shoegaze dream-pop ambient harmonic richness pervading your entire world. Listen alone, in bed, lights off, and drift away....
I'm 33, I knew about this music like for 15 years, I mean i knew that Sigur Ros exists, but never listened to it. And yesterday I loaded it in my big JBL. God, this is something big and new in my life, I've stuck on third track, can't go further yet, LOVE FROM MOSCOW, we are not bad, we just want peace, we just want safety thats why we war, sorry for this last statement, sorry

The new album is to me, a "return to form" as people say. And I don't know really how to back that up using words, But it does sound like that to me, which I'm really happy and fuckin openly loud n proud to be excited about. LoL peace

It's a great album! Such a pleasure this stream! I remeber exactly when my wife (then my girlfriend) gave it to me on 2005's christmas (she knew that Sigur Rós is my favorite band but "Von" was the only missing in my collection - it was so hard to find it on Brazil...). Well, anyway, I love it! And sometimes I wonder when Sigur Rós will give us another album like this one: full of mystery, experimentaions, long instrumental sessions and dark mood

I haven't had a chance to really sit down and take it all in.....but the bit I did hear, immediately reminded me of Von.
