I was 8 when this one came out, so at the absolute height of my childhood Christmas experience. The countless hours I spent going through these catalogs as most every kid I knew, in retrospect is kind of wild. We studied these books like the dead sea scrolls every year. To me these catalogs signaled "Christmas" more than any commercials or decorations, it was officially Christmas when the mailman brought this. My parents would tell me to circle the things you want, so as you can imagine by mid December it looked more like an impressionist exhibition on circles than a catalog. To this day, I've yet to experience a work by any other author, filmmaker or playwriter that has inspired more wonder and imagination and frankly, pure joy more than the stupid sears Christmas catalogs lol.

I was just looking at the 86 sears Christmas catalog at my grandmas the other day. Good memories. Alot of my Christmas came frrom these. Id circle the the things i wanted, and put a star by the the ones i really want. Its funny talking about empty kmart and sears. They are all over around my area.

Polorid is a great choice. I purchased a disposable camera at Christmas time 3 years ago and it took me 7 months to get them back from Walmart. 😮

I look at consumer goods today made in China. When you purchased something from Sears in 1988 you knew you had durable quality merchandise It is a shame they went under.😮
