Underglow is something most of us probably saw for the first time on those iconic black civics from the beloved original The Fast And The Furious. In that time underglow saw a massive rise in popularity, from cars and trucks alike, and having underglow made a massive statement to any vehicle. I have ORIGINAL “StreetGlow” REAL NEON tubes in Pink and a set of BLUE waiting for the right moment to do it. (i live in NY so it can get harsh in winter and possibly damage them) I live the real neon and they just dont make em anymore!!!
I hook up underglow to my vtec wire. Only glow when vtec kick in yo.

I think this is something that looks really cool on the right car and really bad on the wrong one. To me it’s a really interesting accent that looks best on builds that are a bit over the top. I thinks that’s why I’ve been seeing it on show trucks more than anything lately. If you go over the top then underglow is a cherry on top but if you go clean and more minimalist then it kind of ruins it.

Y'all are gonna make me do it. I have an FRS all murdered out black on black on black everything. Literally every visible surface is black or tinted. Already have red floorboard lighting inside and I LOVE the hell out of that mod cuz it's so subtle. Red underglow would look good. I just didn't see it as anything other than corny before. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut. It doesn't have to be on all the time. Can wire it to a couple things like the dome light so when you unlock the car it comes on just for a little, etc. I'd never roll with it on, but for shows and just parked occasionally.... easy mod to do.

I've been thinking about it for my 94 Accord.
I bought 1 5v. Strip to see how I like it.
My pearl gray nightshade looks blue, black, and cops even asked "Is this paint purple or..?"
Unfortunately we can't drive with 🇺🇸colors due to emergency vehicle lights here in Cali.
No flashing lights as we're driving either.
It's logical but it would look nice running solid blue or white down the road.
Just getting into cars with my 2004 Honda Civic Ex and underglow was the first mod I did to it. Absolutely no regrets, one of my favorite moments of this year was wiring it all up and turning it on for the first time
As a guy who has bought dozens of underglow, I recommend not buying anything under $50, but if all you have is $25 buy it anyways. They are shorter but they still provide smiles per buck. Also look for the 6 piece set ups not the 4 piece. 6pc tend to be about 50-100$ but will last a lot longer. $25 models will be fun for a good while but tend to suffer from road conditions. The expensive ones will too! So if you're on the fence just do it! Any model you choose is fun, but it will take a good drill to hang them properly, adhesives can't work very well.

My sister has a 2019 Ford Focus and I’m paying to have underglow installed on her car… and I’ve bought several kits trying to find the right one as well as other complimentary accessories without spending half of what they want for just their kit. I plan on their starting price being the max of what I’ll end up paying for everything from the kit, the additional accessories, the additional parts and pieces, and the installation itself. Like… wow.

For me underglow has always been awesome when done right will be getting it for my 03 Acura RSX Type S
something about the older neon tubes though. The lighting just looks better. Obviously LED is much brighter and WAY easier to install, just something about that circa 2002 street glow neon.

A 1ltr 3-cylinder 56bhp Vauxhall Corsa C in Breeze Blue that is currently rolling on 17s and slammed on coilovers and as of next week will have all round glow! I'm talking underglow, engine bay glow, front grill glow, footwell glow front and back. Soon it will have a full body kit, vented hood and wings and a spoiler and eventually a removable ICE display in the boot with a TV and a PS3. It simply does not get any more ricer (chav) than that in the UK.
Why?! Because myself and a group of mates are absolutely sick and tired of going to car meets and seeing matte grey Audis without a single mod on them. We're bringing back the naughties, when the scene was all about individuality and appreciating the work that went in to a ride, not how quickly the automatic gearbox can shift!
It doesn't matter what's under the hood. It doesn't matter how quickly it shifts. It doesn't matter how much it cost or how old it is. All that matters is does it make you smile?

Like many things in the car community things go away cause a few people who think they’re cool think something is dumb.
LED strips are def 10x better than tubes.

Haha I already have underglow underglow under my car 40th anniversary r33 Gtst manual. Fully addressable LED strips run off an arduino.
Probably one of the best ways to do it. Allows you to do lots of funky stuffs. :D
There is nothing wrong with underglow. Ima put it on my next frs build and probably my current passat. Whats funny is the donk and exotic scene hasn't stopped using it all this time. Just look at the slingshot and bike scene too.

I believe underglow should just be an accent to the car, like I have a jet black subaru and having a nice vibrant green underneath adds a real nice pop of color

Dunno about underglow but register plate lights that light up a bit of the road right ahead and behind the car sign me the hell up.
Or something like thin lines tracing the car man there's so much more to do with lights than we were let on in the early 00s and it's time to redeem this old concept.

Tr Vlogs Car Life if you install them correctly, they will not emit light from under the car. It’s underglow, not side glow.

What does this have to do with underglow? Have you tried using the gallery to dial in your fitment? What are you looking for that we don’t have?
Do not buy this kit! Cheaply made Chinese garbage, the app hardly works and the control box overheats with minimal use
