Well done me for choosing this review and the next to be on games with constant potential for spoilers, making it really tricky to pick out usuable clips. Luckily for the next one I can record some footage of walking around the neat environment and that should solve the problem haha
I love this game sooo much! It's so cozy with the perfect touch of spooky! For myself personally I've replayed the game many times to achieve some of the alternative ending!
I haven't played the Monkeys game, though in the back of my head I've got an image of a game with security camera screens? Those first two are excellent though!
@@Table53 Your mental image is correct, it involves security screens. It’s a funny game. If you enjoyed the other two I’d say it’s a safe bet to say you’ll enjoy Do Not Feed The Monkeys.
I've not played it, but I know the game you're talking about. Seems like a good comparison, interesting story in the background while you play around with an interesting/entertaining puzzle!
This game reminds me of Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, where you also play a shopkeeper to whom customers come needing cures to their ailments and you use plants to cure them.
I have played that! Or at least some of it. I liked some features like the "exploration" potion research, but things like the bartering less so. But decent fun overall!
I actually don't think it is an OST! I think I've seen the devs mention that to keep costs lower they just found some fitting royalty-free music, it does work brilliantly with the rain in the background though
I really enjoyed this game, but I was never able to go back to finish it. The puzzles sometimes went over my head, so I felt bad for looking at a guide here and there. I know you're likely to play it soon, but Obra Dinn really is a great detective game as well, just in its own ways. Nice line at the end, leaf out of your book lmao. Very nice video!
This game has a built in hint system that's pretty good! I had to use it because I forgot that I had a new document that contained the clue I needed and the hint button just reminded me that the document existed so i could solve it from there. Obra Dinn I will 100% play, definitely one of those games where I'll play it and wonder why it took me so long to get around to it haha
@@Table53 I liked the hint system but for plants you should already have due to exploration it will just say "I should look at one of my clues and travel somewhere" or something which didn't help much.
Had way too many puzzles. I liked the plant guessing, but most of the map puzzles were badly translated and unsolvable in my language. After using 5x a guide I just gave up immediately before the ending, and it felt so good to do that 😅
Hey, I don't remember seeing any colourblind accessibility options - although I've also done a cursory google search and one of the devs said on steam that they are colourblind and tried to get around the problem by always including a text description of colour where relevant, but I can't guarantee 100% that it won't be an issue!
I tried it day 1 haha, I haven't played a lot of it though because so many puzzles were genuinely stumping me. I'll need to go back and play more of it!
I've played it on switch and find that the control is pretty intuitive, it also allows use of the touch screen so you can physically point and drag items with a finger
@@Table53 it's like papers please x pawn stars... I guess but I haven't finished a single playthrough because I get caught up in my decisions or get caught in the real world and have to leave it behind. It's nearly as compelling for me to play as inscription or (any Super Giant game) transistor
@@Table53 I got annoyed enough watching people play it I just bought it and figured out it's slightly more of a challenge than I thought it would be. Tis good fun.
Haha, you're the second person to mention that in the comments on this video! I've played it, but I genuinely can't get my head around it - I'm getting stumped by almost every puzzle in Dis Pontibus 2 so I'll need to give it a few more tries
I don't like the music, it's pretty repetitive, as well as the gameplay I guess. Also, I guess if you don't like "Paper Please" you won't like this title much.

'Take a leaf out of my book'
Now that's a great sentence to end this review, very nice
Thanks! I'd end every review on a pun if I could, usually I just can't think of one haha
I tried this out earlier this year and loved the atmosphere as well. It felt cozy, and a little foreboding.
Yeah the atmosphere is fantastic, very easy to chill and sort through plant by plant
Love your reviews. So well written and honestly a great way to experience games I'm never going to get time to play.
Thank you! I completely understand that, I watch some gaming videos for the same reason! So many games, nowhere near enough time
I love this game sooo much! It's so cozy with the perfect touch of spooky! For myself personally I've replayed the game many times to achieve some of the alternative ending!
Nice! I haven't gone back in for other endings, but I still enjoyed the game so much!
Strange Horticulture, Papers Please & Do Not Feed The Monkeys are my 3 favorite point & click titles on Steam. All similar yet so uniquely different.
I haven't played the Monkeys game, though in the back of my head I've got an image of a game with security camera screens? Those first two are excellent though!

Your recommendations never fail me. Thank you, looking forward to try this one :)
I'm glad you like them!
Great review, game looks very relaxing. I will definitely pick this up when I will want some game just to vibe to.
Thank you! It really is very chill
Reminds me of Valhalla just making drinks and enjoying the narrative.

Nice review, thanks.
If you are still looking, Potion Craft is a similar game.
I'm glad you liked it!
I'll take a look at Potion Craft, I've been looking at it for a while and this comment has convinced me to play it

How does this game play if you have color vision issues? Not fully color blind but lets say its a challenge.

Does it work well on the switch or would it be better to buy it on pc?

I haven't, what's it about?
