I am an America living in Scotland. I have experience both sides of the coin. Licensing 12 ft pd pellet guns is overkill. You have more of a chance being seriously hurt or killed with a 12ft pds pellet gun by being hit over the head with it. Very slim chance being killed or seriously harm being shot by one. Hell! I know people that can throw a base ball with more power than a 12 ft pd pellet gun. England got it right. No license on sub 12ft pd air rifles.
Good show. The audio problems you have are mostly related to the reverb in your room. If you don't want to acoustically deafen the room it will help to turn down the gain on the mics and get them a little closer. I'm not complaining, just trying to help with your goals. Cheers 👍
Great video and content. Got to say its great to have a down to earth RFD on my doorstep, wish i had time to get to the range!! Keep up the good work!.
Enjoyed the show today. I like the idea of a mix of chats and more reviews and tips for the future. What you were both saying about the licensing processes are so true. Keep up the good work.
Just touching on one of the points you made about the rifkes being tested.. I massively agree with this i bought a hw100new and imediately within 4 days of owning it it leaked was told by the shop it was doing 11.5ftlbs... anyway long story short it ended up being sent back to hull after first being sorted by the rfd...but 11 month later it was acctually sent to hc for a full reseal.. Anyway it came back from hc with a piece of paper stating the rifles preferred pellet ( weirhauch 4.53 8.4gr) and it's power being 11.3-11.4ft lbs However wen I then tested it over 2 chronos 1 being the rfds skaan and another being my personal fx the rifle was verry low on power doing 10.2 with weighed and sorted pellets this rifle then went back to hc and was sorted and now has came back doing 11.8ft lbs My issue is why wasn't this properly sorted first time and why aren't buyers advised imediately if there's any issues to bring back and an exchange will happen especially for me at the time I bought mine I was new to air rifkes so had no idea and once the problems persisted I was then without my rifke for about 12 weeks with the ongoing issues just seems mad that all rifles aren't by law required to be tested by both the manufacturer and by the seller Would personally give me more confidence and build without a relationship up with a buyer and the rfd
Dead right about the Chrono Had a new BSA R12 had it a month entered a two day ukhft event so thought I’d check it, 12.7ft lbs using 8.4s. now waiting for it to come back from factory hoping it arrives in time otherwise two days entry and a hotel fee wasted. So glad I bought a chrono

Hello Gentlemen, Thank you for your latest show. I enjoyed listening to your general chat. I enjoy it being lighthearted and how you're both happy to have a laugh and pull funnies, in a mix of humour and then some more serious stuff. Although I've never really thought about it, you made me feel good about owning an air rifle in comparison to shotguns and FAC. In general, we airgunners always seem to be looking up to the more powerful bores and energies. However, like you explained, we are free to come and go. We don't require licences at the moment and generally less pressure to enjoy our sport. Of course, it's always nice to have more power, though if used properly, 12ftlb is no mean feet, and I've often surprised myself, pulling off a shot I didn't think would work. Great respect to you both. It's great to come home from work, another grueler, and listen to a good old natter/chinwag about air rifles and see them on the bench in front of you. Thank you, and best wishes, Ian.
another epic... feature length ... just keep doing what your doing , its easy to relate to your content . on the gun prize thing something special to me would be something that isnt just a big price but a thing that you would never think about parting with . we all have something special that we would love to own because it is our idea of perfection ...
Input regarding the raffles( although as I haven't yet entered one I may not be entitled to comment) but I was thinking of a first, second and third prize. I am one of those people who never wins anything although I was half a point off a million pounds pools win back in the '90's. Obviously the first prize couldn't be something as expensive as a vixen but maybe a £500 gun(there are a lot of good ones out there) , a scope, a tripod. Maybe a compressor as a prize as well.
Great show guys really interesting. As for the comp may I suggest scopes, night vision gear, tripods, range finders, chronographs, carbon fibre air tanks and any other accessories. I'm sure people out there would over the moon with winning something like that as some of those are out of reach or they can't justify the cost at todays prices. Keep doing what your doing guys 👍👍
Hi lads, i for one like to watch what ever content you put out or say, although I've shot for well over 40 years you two have a far greater knowledge than i ever could.
We've got to register our chickens now,so it wouldn't surprise me if air rifles are next..with all the cut backs not sure how they'd enforce it though 🤔
The Govt system crashed for two days because we all tried to register our seagulls, pigeons, girlfriends etc. The English are great at that sort of thing.
Have you considered multiple competitions for lower ticket items? Bi pod, bag, scope etc. As a run up to Christmas. Not a raffle but tickets for each item.
when you say 18 with I.D. dont they still have to have someone 21 and over to accompany them? also its 8.54 or 20.54 on thurs and still 4 hours+ before the comp ends, so folk can still buy tickets..
Hi guys, love the show. A video I would love to see; your thoughts and observations on the process of setting up an air rifle range. There’s not a huge choice of ranges near me (as far as I can find out, I’m about 20 miles north of Worcester) and I have wondered whether it’s something I could do myself. I think it could be great for the popularity of the sport/ hobby if enthusiasts around the country established more ranges, or is this too much of a minority passion. Any thoughts? Keep up the great channel guys 👍
Manufacturers could have a data base online with model and serial numbers on and owners could input info for their own weapons while they own them or just make it available for gunsmiths to input info and read only for joe public.
An others thought on a given away would be a gun from the past. I am in my sixties now, but back in teenage years I had a webley senior, and it would have been a hand me down then. Somethings from the past would be great. 😀👍
Top show today, for one of your giveaways, why don't you do a safety pack? The best way to keep your gun, a chronograph, or why weight for the manufacturers to offer a service book, you could offer a deal with all your new guns of service recorded on a service card. The card could just show date sold, power on that, date serviced power at time of service, and of course a signature for each time you handle the gun. Maybe 10 stamps/signatures next one free/50' off. 🎉
Always enjoy the show and buy tickets for every draw great job entertaining both beginners (me) and I'm sure more knowledgeable shooters. Can you share details of using thr range for new shooters such as how it all works, costs and hiring air guns? Also may e an experience option to be able to shoot different options spring guns, PCP and maybe premium option to show the difference and encourage upgrades. Great job keep growing
Hi just watching this vlog ,and you were saying the response was a bit low I'm just wondering if it could be the same trouble I had with your last two competition, tried on a Samsung tablet- HP laptop and two desktop computers and it kept adding £13 shipping.I had to phone you and get it done that way.and by the way the microphones are great its good to see Smashy and Nicey back
Sent my HW 110 to HW 100 tuning when it was 3 years old for a go through. Came back with a power test over 20 shots. I know it's within the power limits now
Funny to watch you both having a banter with each other, great video.sure you will get 10000 subscribers , good sound out them microphones proper DJ microphones them 👍

I was looking at buying 5 tickets for last comp .when a came to pay ,it was adding postage and packing .why would I pay that if I haven't won and I would come and collect it anyway. So I didn't bother .maybe that's why other people didn't bother . Maybe I missed something but that put me off buying tickets. I would have been interested in any comp but not with that added cost .
