Having a strong support system helps a lot! Especially when you have kids. Knowing people are there for you helps mentally to get through tough times too.

diagnosed stage 1 colon cancer, well differentiated low grade tumor. Had it been poor i would be stage 4 right now at least that's what the oncologist said. I got lucky. Treatment consist of resection of half a foot of sigmoid colon and temporary Ostomy put in place to allow guts to heal and to prevent any possible further infection while all the test and labs came through. doctor wanted to play it safe, saying that if i would have sewed you back together and lets say the margins weren't clear it would have possibly been to late to stop a possible reinfection of good colon. IT was that amongst other reasons why i had an ostomy. However in June this year 4 months after original surgery he'll put me back together.

Use warm water only, when possible. Cold water hurts SO bad those first few days.
