  • This lecture deals with the first four scenes of Act Three, and the evil actions initiated in the First Act obtain their full scope as Lear, having deprived himself of Kingdom, is now deprived of family and sanity. He meets the naked Edgar, feigning madness, whom he judges to be wise for comporting himself like a cynic.
