Sucks it takes experiencing something to believe it. This is why empathy needs to be taught as a positive trait, not a weakness.

He’s not lying about the sleep. You feel like sleeping all the time and still never really feel rested, and you’re also upset that all you want to do is sleep because you know it’s not productive

  • @enriquecastaneda3514

You sleep, but you never truly rest. All you wanna do is sleep because your body just feels heavy. Dealing with it is tough. Glad more people are talking about it.

My mother had severe depression when I was growing up. It was horrible to witness. She's been so depressed a couple times she wouldn't even leave bed for water. She had to be taken to the ER for fluids more than once or she would've died, she didn't even have the will to keep herself sustained. Depression is real, and it's awful to experience and to see someone else go through. I hope all of you out there never have to deal with it. Have a blessed day everyone.

This is one of the realest explanations of depression I've ever heard. It's not "I don't want to do anything" it's "I can't do nothing"

  • @MrChiCity3

Depression is REAL. It'll have you staying up till 5am & then sleeping all day. 😢

  • @HecklordSupreme

This is a real lesson everyone needs to learn. When someone tells you how they feel, or what they're going through, it does

I suffer from depression and anxiety and it is no joke. All I want to do is sleep and at times I don't even want to do day to day essentials. But with prayer it is becoming a little better for me and I'm not going to let this break me. 🙏🏾🙌🏾👐🏾

Think the worst part is knowing you're going through it. Trying your hardest to get out of it but still slipping and falling back into it.

  • @donventura2116

Same thing addicts go through. Many people simply can't imagine or empathize with that struggle unless it is experienced.

  • @snapcentrel

The messed up part of depression is you sleep in thinking you will feel better in the morning but when the morning comes you still feel depressed of whatever it is!😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

It’s sad to me that some people not only don’t try to understand other’s plights, but actively believe they’re making it up. And they only understand when they’ve directly experienced it themselves. But I’m happy that he’s talking about it now and helping to teach and reduce stigma

  • @indamaking

I thought this way about anxiety and depression until it happened to me. Don’t look down on others life will humble you quick

  • @alexklitschko6918

Glad to see us men finally speaking up about battling depression. I have been for 15 years now. It hasn’t gotten any better, I’ve just gotten stronger 🙏

  • @PartyyKyle

Bro!!!!!! Same!!! Till i was 22 and everything no one tells you about adulthood actually hits you. Next your 26 and wake up out of autopilot and find out you dont even know who you are or where to begin to change.. real reality hit

  • @Undeadsweater

I think it’s sad that such a large portion of people can’t understand or believe the experiences of others until it happens to them. The world would be a much better place if people could think outside themselves.

  • @HoopleHeadUSA

It’s very real! Now imagine that same chronic, constant feeling of hopelessness but without a physical injury to point to, it’s just something in your brain causing it. Harder to pinpoint, harder to fix

  • @nevets3889

Life will teach you, what you refuse to learn.

  • @willywonka9931

I learned the hard way depression isn't "not wanting to do anything" its when you physically can't anymore

Depression is real. Some days we are just an empty shell trying to get through the day, in pain.
