This inspired me to start a singerbarb, I know that is what you should NOT do, but! At Nightmare Mephisto a unique ring drops from a CHEST! The friggin Stone of Jordan! The very first one I ever found after 17 years of playing! YAY! :-)
I love how the HC speedrun is 3 hours less than the SC one. Great job man! I think that barbs are a very fun and challenging class that aren't really well known yet in matter of efficient builds because people just hate them for solo play. Obviously a mix of crushing blow and warcry is the solution, not forgetting that you have to get to a higher level to be efficient. (Baal is such a pain...) Maybe a frenzy/warcry would be better? How about trying with ladder runeword enabled too? That would be sick! You made me play again after 4-5 years..
He's doing the same contents as most other classes (he gets more runes because Barb needs them in normal), the difference being that the Barb is MUCH slower because he can't attack a lot of ennemies at once because he sucks. 9 hour for the three difficulty modes.

As of this writing the top two runners of this hc barbarian challenge are both using a Bash/Frenzy hybrid hack. Same with the top hc /p8 challenge.

Larry Shimmell for speedrunning, yes, but for general PvE, with proper gear set, barbs are really stable.
