I LOVE this! I'm sending it to my Grandson in Texas so he can learn about the beautiful, miraculous story of Channukah! We are a black Christian family but we were introduced to Jewish traditions by our grandmother who was a domestic for 3 generations of one wealthy Jewish family. Since I was q child I have held a place in my heart for this particular minor holiday and I've celebrated it myself. I want to share it with my grandchildren! Thank you Mayim for this animated, joyful walk backwards into history!
Mayim -- you are the generous Jewish actress I have ever 'known.' You share your Jewish life and 'information in a bright and intelligent way. I am Jewish and love to hear you. You have a true, open heart. Happy Hanukkah!
i am church of england but not a regular church goer, however i do like learning about the jewish faith from mayim she makes it easier to understand things i like learning about other peoples religions instead of being someone who only belives in their own faith ty very much and happy Hanukkah to all of you x
I can't stand how much I love your videos. Your personality makes them so enjoyable to watch and although I'm not Jewish, I appreciate how passionate you are about your religion and heritage and culture. Thank you!
Absolutely love the videos you do about the Jewish holidays, your baking, the traditions. It’s so wonderful to learn about another face in this way. Thank you so much.
This is great! What a fun way to describe Chanukka! Your awesome Mayim! I would like to point out that in the holy temple in Jerusalem there was only one Menorah.
Thank you for sharing your faith! I love learning about Jewish tradition! I’ve always loved how beautiful, so thoughtful and intentional it is. Preparing and waiting for the Messiah. Prophecy and tradition pointing to His coming. I would love to hear you talk about what it’s been like interacting with Christians, texts on Jesus and if you identify as a Messianic Jew. Love your videos. Thanks for always being so real and honest. ❤️
If we pay attention we can find the miracles all around us. Kick aside the trivialities of this World that distract us from Reality our Father wants us to see and be part of. Celebrate those moments great and small that are always a part of our lives. That is what I gather from the song. Mayim, miracles are real. How do I know? Long story short. This past May I was in an accident that resulted in a broken neck. As a result I became paralyzed by the time I made it to the hospital. Then I awoke, after the last thing I heard was about surgery. It was six days later when I got out of ICU, with zero memory of the six days. Not to bore you, fast forward to today. I am now walking, although wobbly. And gradually spending less time using the wheelchair. And I will regain my former abilities. So yep, here there be miracles. And hopefully yours aren't as dramatic as mine...nor painful. Peace be with you. 🙏
ok- got a question- Maccabees- This is because you are very knowledgeable-this is not about religion-in the King James Version of the Bible they are not in it. The Catholic Bible they are. Now, in history, King James of England was trying to join the difference in the Church of England and the Catholic Church of Rome-so he had people of both churches or religions rewrite with both putting in what they thought was important.(I am old, I homeschool and cant spell, and i know I'm not telling the history right) i have a Catholic Bible that was my mother-in-laws, and there is a lot of Books about the Maccabees- i guess my question is Why do you think they (the KJV) left them out- what is it that was not important or that we shouldn't know?
What is the power of 9?? - Here you go... Think of any number between 10 and 19.. Add the two digits of that number together... Take away your answer of those two numbers added, away from your original number. = ?.. its maths..
That's the shallow version of Hanukkah 😂 Hanukkah is about Jewish pridehood, self determination in the Jewish native land (ancient Zionism) and rejection of outside culture influences. The whole point of Hanukkah is to represent the seperation of light and darkness: the darkness is the antisemitsm and outside world which splashes is cold and missing a direct purpose, splashing in the shallow waters, awhile the light is Judaism representing the warmth and complexity of a fire, bright and being the light onto all the nations of the world.
This put the biggest smile on my face. She’s such a joy to watch and learn from. Happy Hanukkah Mayim
Yayyyyyyy! Hanukkah time!

All the clips are the way my brain works when anyone talks to me 😖.
Light the candles and than pray in front of them each day for 1 hour
your prayer gets power from the candles!

Or "Hammer" time!
the shirt... i have a lot of feelings about the shirt.
The edit is so 😂😂😂👏🏼
Very good Mayim, however candles should not be blown out -the connection with God blowing into our noses to give us life

Trick question:
Why Hanukkah celebrated 8 day if the oil miracle was only 7 days?? (One extra day wasn't miracle).
I LOVE the content but the editing was super distracting..
חג חנוכה שמייח יקירה
It’s soooo confuse!!! :-O
But seems pretty magical anyway! ;) Happy Hanukka!
Assyrians not Syria, so, maybe explain where THAT is?
So this always confused me. Were they Greeks or Assyrian people dominating over the jews lives?
I'm so emotional I cried watching this video? Hahaha damn pandemic
tão fofa aksjsksksksksks vo guardar num pote fodase
Dr Bialik- You make me want to convert to Judaism😀
Antiochus Epiphanes was a Greek Hellenistic king of the Seleucid Empire, and not the Assyrian Empire. ;)
it feels so ironic to hear may in complain about not being able to circumcise boys.
Rag tag?
What is the power of 9?? - Here you go... Think of any number between 10 and 19.. Add the two digits of that number together... Take away your answer of those two numbers added, away from your original number. = ?.. its maths..
Assyrians?! Man u confused girl. He was helennic from macedonia-greek. not assyrian. Zeus is a greek god...

i wonder what she's gonna get the Palestinians for the holidays.
Sorry but this unwatchable. I get it. You tried to be funny and modern and quirky. But I actually got a headache from all those flashing images!!
No thank you....I'll stick with Jesus (Yashua) instead.
