What my wife and I like so much about your vids is that they are focused on the scenery, the food, the things to do, and not so much on you. You guys are the wasabi and Japan is the sushi!
That Pony Glamour Shot in the beginning with the slowmo mane and tail movement is just masterful filmmaking, kudos! This was a lot of fun, I love how you two still have so much fun exploring new places. Thanks for taking us along, I love seeing the more offbeat path! Sorry about the...whatever it was you ate at the expensive place that sucked, Kyde. That lime coke looks really good though, they've got lime Pepsi Max here in Denmark and I've been drinking way too much of it!
I absolutely love u guys, once again a masterpiece 🤗 when I come over there can I move in with you lol Great work and can’t wait for the next one. 🙏😎🥇😍
I know I'm pretty late to this video, but my personal all time fav. ramen is tonkotsu, and the best place I've been too is Mutekiya in Ikebukuro. Amazing rich broth, thick cuts of pork, and several varieties of add-ons. If you doods haven't been, I highly recommend it.
Always good to know where the nearest Gundam Factory is in case of emergency. Also like the Grayson Highlands ponies in Virginia, but you may already know about them since your from near there.
Wow, i know i'm late to the party and i'm months behind on your Japan videos (yay, gonna binge watch asap!) but i have to leave a comment about that first restaurant: what a special place for long time followers in the know -> Prepares seafood Eric actually enjoys, so much so that he considers getting the "good stuff" more often AND serves dishes that Kyde the "i can eat anything" badass has a hard time eating! I laughed hard when she said "I regret my choices". Lots of memories of Kyde eating weird things in lots of countries come to mind. So Eric, after slowly becoming a rice snob and a vegetable lover (Hokkaido trip), have you gone down the slippery slope or not regarding quality maguro?
For Kyde: Buy some pigs ear, boil it for 5 to 10 min and then grill it until it starts crackling. Chops some onions and finely chop some parsley, season it with salt and vinegar. Cut the pigs ear in chunks, put the onion/parsley mix on top. Eat it with bread. (Rustic bread is better)
@8:38 those people waiting .... Doors open: nope, you cannot come in Doors close. Doors open: nope, still can’t come in I cannot explain what made me laugh so hard at this!
Raw abalone is very tough to eat but when it's braised it's very tender ànd delicious. Try abalone at a Chinese restaurant and you will probably change your mind.
I love how the last video I watched from y’all you guys were eating horses. I found it pretty comical that this video is all yay horses and the previous was OM NOM NOM horses 😉
Had abalone on the west coast of the US, fresh from the water, pulled up from the shores of San Clemente Island. It is a bit chewy, but the flavor was pretty good. Tougher than rattlesnake meat, but not that different.
I think Abalone and Giant Clam are similar in texture and flavor. Definitely for the "seasoned" sushi eaters especially when they move when you hit them with shoyu. At the end of the video there I was like "damnit Kyde move your finger I wanna see what brand that yogurt is!!" LOL!
OMG😱 abalone is a delicacy in Asia! How could you not like that? It’s one of the top 3 ingredients in Chinese cuisine and it’s not cheap. Maybe you could try them cooked. Try Chinese cuisine with abalone or the Korean chicken soup which comes with these abalones as well. Maybe next time🤣 We have planned a trip to Aomori in November this year. We have booked the air tickets but still not sure Japan would open up to leisure travel then… fingers crossed🤞
yeah those horses are for bred for meat. The famous food there are horse meat sashimi. "Next to Kumamoto and Fukushima prefecture, Aomori ranks third in horse meat production nationwide."
the farting ponies are very poetic i must say, but eric that films a pony farting is even more so, i think this should have been an instagram live, pony farting live
Kyde eating an "earlobe" - hahahaha! Ew, that was hard to watch. I think this is the first time I've ever seen Kyde grossed out by something! She's usually so adventurous. Edit - OH, THAT OTHER THING! I'd blocked that out.
Hey! I'm eating moussaka while Kyde is trying a moving "sea-earlobe"...wow... Fun. Did that pony at 17:13 crack a rat? Hahaha Japanese pony-fart... only on kyde & eric channel...woooo Cheers!
Commenting for the internet robots. Seems like a lot of driving. That tuna, though... I think Eric will want to to upgrade his regular tuna game. Maybe that place was famous and you could get the same quality for $25-$30 somewhere elese? At that price point, is it worth it? Ponies! Who doesn't like random Ponies?! What systems did the hostel guy have setup? I've traveled a lot as well staying in hostels all over, so I appreciate a super-clean well setup hostel. That yogurt looked good.
I love seafood but I would also be disappointed with the meal Kyde got at the maguro restaurant. yea My family loves abalone, I don’t. I don’t think that it was fresh because I’ve have fresh ones and I don’t remember it being crunchy/cartilage like. Abalone is expensive tho.
Ponies were expected after reading the video title, but didn't expect so many of them!! ᶘ ͡ ° ᴥ͡ ° ᶅ (I was so distracted by the pony situation that I almost missed the climbing sheep ;)
wow, you know?

Why is "It's like eating an earlobe" not yet on "Kyde says the darndest things" ? ;) Great vid again!
What my wife and I like so much about your vids is that they are focused on the scenery, the food, the things to do, and not so much on you. You guys are the wasabi and Japan is the sushi!
"On a clear day, you can see... stuff." Amazing! You guys are amazing!
"I was promised visibility" 😄 🤣
Japan is such a safe, clean, cool, and highly developed country. You guys are so lucky to live there!
I endorse Kyde's Ramen Quest, and hope a list will be made by the end of that most delicious adventure.
Also farting horses.
This was delightful, and just what I needed today! Thank you for always making wonderful escapism for all of us 💛
100% my favorite place to be on YT. You guys are killin it!
Thanks!! -E
Thanks Kyde and Eric great video
Dude, that maguro looked amazing!
Enjoyed your travels and the chunky horses.
Abalone? Truly a delicacy on the west coast/ pacific northwest. Ah-Bah-Low-Nee. Don't give up!
haha I was thinking Abba-Low-Knee, but yours is probably more phonetically accurate xD
"I was gonna say 'good morning,' but it's now 12:01. So, it is a good afternoon situation..." Epic real talk situation.
daaaang that intro shot was *CRISP* . Nice job!
the model did all the work. -E
Thanks for sharing! That was fun! It's a good mindset to find the humor in situations out of your control (like fog).😁

It's hard to not make masterful films when you have such wonderful subjects! hahahaa. -E
16:37 - Need Eric's face with that hand gesture and the quote "The word 'pony' is just so tasty" on a t-shirt.
lol
When Kyde says something is gross, it's gotta be heckin' gross...
Nice shirt Eric - I was supposed to see Dinosaur Jr in KC tomorrow night but it got postponed. New album is fantastic.
Yea, it's a banger! I adore that Garden song. Such a mood. -E
I absolutely love u guys, once again a masterpiece 🤗 when I come over there can I move in with you lol

Never saw those VA ponies. Got a reason to return now, haha. -E
I am very impressed that Kyde continued to eat that. Buh.
I haven't become too much of a maguro snob....I don't think I can afford to become one hahah
abalone when raw is hard as a rock. usually it is stewed for long time for it to be good.
Now I’m one of those people who says ‘I give a thumbs up before even starting the video’. And glad to be one.
22:07 in Chinese that is Red King.
Ponies don't do anything but fart all the time. I love them.
For Kyde:
Buy some pigs ear, boil it for 5 to 10 min and then grill it until it starts crackling.
Chops some onions and finely chop some parsley, season it with salt and vinegar.
Cut the pigs ear in chunks, put the onion/parsley mix on top.

Might be hard to find pigs ears in Tokyo. Hahaha -E
My uncle used to free dive for abalone. In California you can only catch a certain amount and can't use scuba equipment.
Yea my parents did it in the 80s in California as well. -E
@8:38 those people waiting ....
Doors open: nope, you cannot come in
Doors close.
Doors open: nope, still can’t come in
I cannot explain what made me laugh so hard at this!
Majestic ponie
Its like eating an earlobe. OMG!
Eric has gone mad with his slow mo powers! lol. Also kyde continues to be a treasure heh.
Haha yea I'm probably using it too much. It's fun though. -E
@@kydeanderic naw I'm enjoying it too :D, slow-mo ponies was pretty good yo. I think the amount is fine, and you're using it for good effect heh.
Raw abalone is very tough to eat but when it's braised it's very tender ànd delicious. Try abalone at a Chinese restaurant and you will probably change your mind.
they braise that stuff for hours until its tender
I was wondering what was up with the texture she was describing, this is helpful
"It's been a minute since we made a video about a toilet" Things only japanese vloggers say :D
Horses? I like Amori. Again a perfect video about north Japan.
Oh my - what an intro ! ❤️ 🐴
Amazing video 💯
y'all gonna have me ordering tuna tomorrow. Eric got me at "butter." listen i butter my toast when i eat tuna ok 💕
I love how the last video I watched from y’all you guys were eating horses. I found it pretty comical that this video is all yay horses and the previous was OM NOM NOM horses 😉
we don't discriminate when it comes to ponies
Eek, I'd forgotten that.
blown away by the toilet paper triangles :O
Favorite part was, “On a clear day you can see stuff but you can’t see shit now.”
FINALLY! AOMORI APPLES!
Loved the video. And surprise surprise I'm freaking hungry.
Oh, I have never seen horses like these! Chunky fellas!
Big bois
Had abalone on the west coast of the US, fresh from the water, pulled up from the shores of San Clemente Island. It is a bit chewy, but the flavor was pretty good. Tougher than rattlesnake meat, but not that different.
That was exciting!
19 seconds from release and I'm ment to be watching the Cricket but K&E takes preference in my world 🐓🦒😁😷🥳
Eric has some really cool T-shirts. SP, Primus, and today Dinasour Jr. Eric is secretly a MetalHead! 👍👍👍
Primus sucks!!!
@@erik_ludwig PRIMUS SUCKS!

Great video
Abalone is Paua in New Zealand! Delicious when prepared properly. Not a fan myself of it raw.
P.S. Kyde, you look even more beautiful than ever on this trip! That outfit is gorgeous. 😊 Eric is handsome as ever. Haha
Cool shirt Eric!
It's a knob-shaped peninsular.
I've been known to forget to lock the car door but forgetting to close the car door. That's new.
Haahaha, yea, I was surprised too. -E
That farting pony made the video well worth it!
today i learned that Eric watches not just bikes. thats awesome. stroads are the worst no matter where they are
They don't know how to scone here.
Ha ha ha ha love it!!
E - "Look at this cute pony laying on the grass"
K - "Why is this donkey here?"
hahah :D Thank guys for the vid
I laughed so hard at the pooting ponies. It’s childish but it was funny
That abalone was haunted!

We have planned a trip to Aomori in November this year. We have booked the air tickets but still not sure Japan would open up to leisure travel then… fingers crossed🤞
Haha, lots of "delicacies" aren't necessarily good. Rocky Mountain Oysters, etc. hahaha
yeah those horses are for bred for meat. The famous food there are horse meat sashimi. "Next to Kumamoto and Fukushima prefecture, Aomori ranks third in horse meat production nationwide."
the farting ponies are very poetic i must say, but eric that films a pony farting is even more so, i think this should have been an instagram live, pony farting live
lol
I was just wondering if you thought of visiting your electric smart car driving trance living monk again. I know he's not in aomori
Haha, he lives in Sendai! I might drop by if I'm up there with some free time some day. -E

Ponies are All Grass No Brakes
lol
Hi guys ! CAT says Marauw! What about Japanese Rock Music- festivals?
We don't often go to large festivals. Probably haven't been to one at all in over 10 years. -E
"On a clear day you can see... stuff..."
"I was promised visibility"
I’ve had very good butter sautéed abalone but what you had looked terrible.
Horses are fairly farty animals anyway. They can’t burp, so it all goes out the other end.
Commenting for the internet robots. Seems like a lot of driving. That tuna, though... I think Eric will want to to upgrade his regular tuna game. Yea, that day was a lot of time in the car. For $25....maybe I'd get it like...a few times a year, hahahaha. -E
Cool shirt!
I couldn't help but click on the thumbnail with Kyde looking taller than a small horse..
Hello youtube algorithm
Are u still working? How do u survive in Japan so long? By patreon?
I think Kyde works and can work during travels sometimes, Eric takes care of the youtube work and Patreon, they both take care of that.
A mixture of "real work" and RUclips stuff. -E
6:22 the fact it reacted to the soy sauce means it's really fresh. Some residual muscle activity which doesn't last that long.
Good video! :)
"Why is that donkey here?" LUL
Peninsula?
BEAUTIFUL THIC PONIES! LOL
God I love your videos.❤
12:40 no. Ferry is worth the time
Sure, but it was totally booked so we couldn't use it hahaha
❤
“it’s squishy, and slightly flexible”
That’s what she said
I am not a big fan to eat raw abalone, either.
You may like Abalone steak cooked with butter.
If you have a chance to eat, please try it.
🐎🐎🐎
point?
New video series, Quest for the Best: Ramen.
We have an idea for something like that we may undertake next year.
Ponies were expected after reading the video title, but didn't expect so many of them!! ᶘ ͡ ° ᴥ͡ ° ᶅ (I was so distracted by the pony situation that I almost missed the climbing sheep ;)
I would say if you find some place that cooks their abalone it might be worth a second try heh.
I just watched a RUclips video of the Abalone alive, and it looks like something from the depths of hell 😱
yea, not on my menu, haha. -E
It was crunchy son!
@14:12 Grab Aomori by the horns
yes this is a message for the robots and for all the future robots if they wake up. please dont kill me.
Parpy Pones!
これは飯テロ🥢🐟👍
笑、ごめんね。
