Genuinely, it’s getting more interesting the more I watch, especially since I was REALLY unconvinced early on. But as most say, there definitely needs to be more work to keep it engaging. Something feels super missing and I completely understand why people are negative.

@@DoKDelta Dingo is no that hard, people dont know how to play the game, so he looks super op, but its actually pretty underpowered.

Yeah... The game seems fine and all but we've been past the "buy online-only PvP game" for quite a while. Call of Duty and Battlefield can get away with that since they're established franchises but we've seen so many games with this brawler style gameplay fail over years that I'm not convinced it'll last. F2P could elevate the issue a bit but even then they'd need a way to really hook the player base. As buy-to-play title I can't see this succeeding.
Camping with Dingo looks way too OP. I hope there’s a good balance with other characters
Cortex can literaly transform Dingo into an iguana and throw him away whit a headsmash so...
The junkerball is also a good strategy to get rid of Dingo
Tawna and Cortex counter dingo. Tawna has a really good combo she can do and grapple away before dingo can hit her. Cortex can just shut him down entirely

Game has a good premise, and the other characters’ gameplay loops seem way more fun than crashes, but there just isn’t enough meat on the bone in general. I think the game will have player retention issues if this is all there is when the game launches
There IS going to be more in the full game than the beta. In fact there’s a message that pops up as soon as you get to the main menu that states it will have more of everything including more games modes.

@@Jidom_101 It’s a beta. It’s not supposed to impress or keep you engaged for hours, it’s just to test the game’s balance. Also this might not be the only beta they do. The game is 2 months away and I can see there being another with more things to try.
@@SoulofStalker A beta exists for feedback as you said, player retention is important for any game and is a valid criticism for them to keep in mind. Two months is also very short in the game development world 🤷🏽♂️

While I’m playing this closed beta, is actually fun, even though, I’m not much of a multiplayer type of person. I really hope they add more modes in the future.
Me too. I’m not too big on the multiplayer scene. Definitely looking forward to more modes and maps. 3 maps is not a lot lol

i am a huge crash fan but this game ain't it for me , i feel like its one of those games that will lose interest within weeks because outside of the online League of Legends-ish matches there's nothing else going for it.

2 Dingo's on the base seemed really hard to deal with. Especially without communication, probably need a team effort to deal with that.
Wonder how it'll go with 3 Dingo's.
I'm hoping the meta of this game doesn't just turn out to be everyone playing the same OP character. I've had enough of that with Splatoon 3's Splash-o-matic

Yeah its exactly what I expected it to be, out of nowhere my opponent is almost halfway winning and they spam the spin attack but enough that I can’t hit em back.
Crash was never meant to be this kind of game.
Oh and I knew Calamity Canyon sounds familiar to me
You know what other type of game Crash was never meant to be? A kart racer.

Looks like a good free to play game. Wouldn't pay any money for this. All you do in this to play optimally is break boxes and deposit fruit at a point. That's it.

Played as Crash and thought it was fun, but not great. Played as Dingodile and had a BLAST. Found my role haha.
EDIT: Played as Coco and a little confused what I was supposed to do… it it’s mainly boosting with gems, I can do that with any character. Seems a bit pointless.
EDIT 2: I will say in it’s current form, I have played three matches on a row at most and then had to jump off. It’s not super engaging as is, but it’s fun and I hope it has a larger scope at launch.
I found that Coco and Cortex's main role is gathering Relics. Their high movement makes it easy for them to rack up Relics.
Her and Cortex are supposed to be more efficient at boosting so maybe the gems light up faster or you carry more relics?
You collect X2 relics, watch out for those
It should obviously be Chic and Stu that narrates the game
This needs way more modes this looks like a new round that would be in a crash bash sequel

The dingodile moment is what's gonna piss everyone off. It's one of the reasons I don't play PvP games.
I don’t know why they think this game will be good, these types of games haven’t been big for 10/15 years and they’ve never been successful when they’ve been released. I think this is a big L that’s not with the times
Even if everyone was fighting the whole time instead of smashing boxes, it would still look like shit lol.
I really like how the maps are based off of the levels from Crash 4 alongside the character designs and movesets.

I don't know if i wanna get this if they dont fix Dingodile, eventually everyone will do this, make it so if they're on the actual bank its self they get electrocuted and gradually lose HP
This game feels “unnecessary” to exist
I know that this is a beta and things will change in the final version but so far… This looks very boring (gameplay-wise), I think I might’ve preferred this game to be for free with insane monetization than paying $40/$60 on it and be forced to buy the battle pass to get the full cosmetic content
Like why it isn’t for free? That would’ve attracted so many players to try it, like this game isn’t even like Overwatch/COD where ppl will buy it no matter what. ugh

the series got popular from the 3 PLATFORMERS, on the PS1.. it was pretty much a counterpart of sorts to 'mario' on the nintendo... that's why it got away with a kickass kart racer..
but mario still is consistently releasing platformers on it's own, and clearly treading that as the 'main' series
Crash as gotten what 2 or 3 actual platformers since the ps1 era ended.. with no consistency
the N-sane trilogy should have been a reminder of what made crash good to begin with. and they should be focusing on those types of games over any 'spin offs'
lets say 2-3 platformers for every kart racer... THEN yo can try to put him in something original.. but this isn't the time for that, especially since he has been all but dead since the ps2 era (which was already a massive drop in quality)

More repetitive than Crash Bash, looks fun....... for about an hour - even if they realise another 10 levels and 20 characters then it might be fun for 3 hours XD they should have called it Crash: Dead On Arrival as it 100% still feels like a Crash 4 DLC that they're now charging for 2 years too late
@@lamalas932 nah, they'll give up on it within 3 months for sure - won't be a single player and they'll barely be much more to play unfortunately. It was and still is... a Crash 4 game mode they're now making us pay for 👍
@@lamalas932 it's just pretty evident that they're not going to put much effort into this game, or else we'd already know more than just 5 characters and 3 maps. As it is looking to likely not do very well at all, why would they invest any more time and money into it? My hope is that xbox buys the brand out now and TFB get the creative freedom they deserve with our favourite franchises :)
@@lamalas932 and, sad to say, but if you sort even the comments to "newest" here - the last 10 comments in a row out of 200 have been in agreement... dead within months etc. - so far it feels like a 2yr delayed project they are now just churning out for the sake of ticking boxes. Even in the most recent interview Lou sounded so bored and absolutely uninterested like even he's lost hope, it's just not looking good at all.
I don't just want more maps in the beta, I just worry that what we've seen is like 75% of what we're going to get total... these seasons will be like "wow, and here's N.Brio..." "ooo look catbat for halloween in October..." and "surprise Ripper Roo is back" zzZ zzZ
@@lamalas932 Fair enough, I get that but there's so much evidence there it can't be denied. I'm not specifically hating on it, it's just not at all what this franchise needs. The devs have been heavily constrained and promotion has been lazy at best, making this the worst of any 25th anniversary celebration - I mean they think partnering with tiktok influencers is going to win over a new generation of kids as crash fans... nope, I can't see kids playing this for months. It's like another huge crash fan said to me last night, unless you go in with all your mates in a team you can communicate/strategise with this game is boring as hell - even Crash On The Run had a better "teams" feature at the outset...
With crash you are suposed to quickly navigate the level collecting wumpas, he is waaay faster than dingo and has quicker ways of traversal. Dingo is all about bonking others. Im actually having more fun than I though with this game.

@lamalas well for this particular game I feel like you can. Kinda how gang beasts was in beta (not sure if it still is) and it didn’t really change much. But like what else would they add? That’s why I’m asking if this is all they offer then will the game get old?
@lamalas in that case then yeah you can’t judge the game just yet. I’ve just seen people already making reviews about the game and I was assuming THIS was the full game.
Looks alot of fun I'll pre order soon but I am happy how if looks and I think the battle pass has a really good rewards selection and meaningful cosmetics that you wanna get and that makes it more unique

well the game is everything I was a fraid of - game looks fine it's just totally not my genre. I'd be bored after a couple rounds and get too pissed off at people like those dingodiles who just camp the other people's base. that's not a fun game, that's just a dick move

Like back in the announcement trailer and maybe the the first 2 videos after that, but this is like the umpteenth video about this game, you’d think by now only people who show any kind of interest in the game would be here. It looks like a moba but without the fixed camera angle. Doesn't look like any splitscreen/system-link/LAN support and doubt the devs are gonna future proof it. At least with CTR:NF you can still play everything offline.

I really hate to play the pessimist but I can't see this game lasting long.

I didn't play it (don't own the beta) but from the looks of it it's fun. With the same five characters tho it gets pretty repetitive.
IMHO they made a mistake not including at least another character in the beta. We've already seen the Crash 4 gang, we already know how they all play and perform, an original moveset would've helped keeping the gameplay from getting too stagnant and repetitive. I don't know, maybe Brio or even Catbat? Since we can't play them in the beta, we're not given the chance to judge them and give a full feedback.
But that's just my opinion.

Honestly I dont really feel it with this game, havent played it but from the looks of it, it just looks like a mindless collectathon without the platforming challenge that collectathons are usually known for.
They should've just remade Crash Bash.

This entire game is the "Grind" game mode from Modern Warfare (2019)
How Activision are gonna keep people entertained for a long time with what constitutes as a single mode in COD is beyond me.

Worth noting for everyone crying about "dingodile OP" from Lewis' last game: his team was made up of 4 Crashes. They might have stood more of a chance if his team had some character variety

@lamalas Betas are usually fairly complete as they want the game to be tested for bugs and issues properly before release. I’m just not sure how they spice the game up

You know my problem with this game?,it’s been 3 years since activision released crash 4, and to be honest when this game was announced I expected better, because honestly this just feels like 80% of the game is just reused assets from crash 4, and seems so lazily made, like this could have been developed like 6 months after the release of crash 4, which is also a big disappointment, all that hype for the big “Wumpa Legue” reveal only to get this
