"Your sickness is actually a blessing when it comes to dating. Only people who truly care about you will stick around." This is TRUE and a very powerful sentence, I've been reluctant to dating fearing that my potential significant other may judge me or just dump me because of my illnesses, but this actually bring a new light into my life, good with your BF and your life :3
This made me cry, but I'm so glad I came across your video. I have fibromyalgia and I was engaged to a guy early this year who didn't understand why I was always in pain and he didn't want to understand. I know now that he was not for me. I have dealt with my pain for the past 17 years or so and it certainly gets me down. Whilst your video has made me cry, it has also lifted me in some ways. You make a sweet couple and congrats on 3 years in a couple of months. hugs, Rose
I'm so glad that I can comfort you through my videos! Always know that no matter how hard things get, you are not alone. I'm so happy for you and your boyfriend for sticking through it all. :) Keep fighting and stay strong love!!
I'm so glad that I was able to give you some comfort. This is such a big topic to talk about when being chronically ill, but it's definitely something that needs to be addressed. Thank you so much! I'm glad my boyfriend is still with me even though it can be very hard with me being sick, I hope that he continues to stay with me. You will find someone who is better for you, someone who understands you better. *hugs!
Yeah, I am so sorry that you are going through some things too. You are very strong though, and I hope I can help you know that you are never alone and hopefully I can bring comfort to what you are going through with my videos! I hope today is a good day and that they just keep getting better everyday!
thank you for this video, and all of your videos! My boyfriend is really understanding and i am really open about it with him but i can tell that sometimes he gets annoyed because I get sick whenever we try to do something together like going out to dinner and a movie. Your videos have helped me so much, just knowing that I am not the only one going through this.
My mom and dad met before my mom got hurt, and he stayed with her though 3 broken discs, 1 marriage,2 kids, 3 surgeries, countless ER visits , bad days and good, for their 25th anniversary this October.
You are SO STRONG and don't ever feel bad about not having been kissed yet or not having a special someone yet. I promise you, that's okay! Your sickness is actually a blessing when it comes to dating. Only people who truly care about you will stick around. You will meet someone who will love you for sickness and remission times. I promise, it will happen. :) And you are very welcome! I am doing the best I can to provide hope and comfort to my fellow chronic illness fighters. :) *hugs!
Aww, yeah it was not so enjoyable, but definitely got through it and that's all that mattered at the time. I wish sickness never existed it's just not a fair lifestyle for anyone. But, there is purpose for our pain! keep fighting! :) *hugs
i've been with my boyfriend for 7 years now and we still have certain issues with my pain (occipital neuralgia, cluster headaches, fibro). its scary to not know what will happen in the future and it is a lot to take on as a significant other. hes my best friend and he's always been there for me though every time i've been in excruciating pain. youre always learning from the other person and vice versa. you may always have certain issues, but in the end it really does make us stronger.
I'm so glad that this video could help you! What I said is so true though, please never forget that! It's never your fault if someone won't stick around because of your sickness, it's truly a blessing and the right ones will stick around for you. :) You will meet the perfect person because of your illness! Keep fighting!!
I am crying right now, Im 20 years old with endometriosis, ibd, and fibro. I feel like I;m never going to have what you and your boyfriend have. I've been sick for most of my teen years and missed my last two years of highschool. Is it normal that I'm 20 and still haven't been kissed. I want to thank you for these videos. You are truly amazing and I admire you so much. I hope you are feeling good! Happy holidays! xoxo
also, you are so inspiring. you have no idea! my guts woke me at 3 am and I was so upset as I've been OK for a few weeks. now who knows, I needed to hear and see your inwpiring video! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
I also cried after watching video, I have chronic illness also and I learned that I am not alone in this illness (was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and was hospitalized for 3 months last summer...) It is so hard to deal with the illness alone and your family would not just understand what someone with chronic illness feels especially with datings... I am a little worried that I might end up wearing a pouch and I dont know how I would resume with dating though...
