      Absolutely agree. He's actually a former world record holder for GBR, in the 1500m,its Steve Ovett. Olympic champion. He's a crap commentator... And Kathryn Merry, former olympian at the 400m. She's not much better, but she's good as a stadium announcer.

    Spotakova comes back at the age of 36 just to emphasize that she's easily the greatest female javelin thrower ever.

    Yes sir, that happens when you're feeling the adrenaline rush in sports and other competitive activities. Dude needs to understand demonstrating emotion is ok after you have done your thing.

    I did javelin in high school and loved it. My goal for my last year of track and field was to hit 70 ft but I got 69 and it just so happened to be my last throw of the day :/.

      Damn dude, that’s cool and all but it rlly puts in perspective the level some ppl are, that’s 21metres, there’s a 16 year old in England who is throwing 75metres atm, that’s incredible

    Why do some of them throw so far behind the line. I swear the Aussie could have went forward another 5 yards.

      It appears that they are far from the line when they throw but they have to be because after you release, your momentum will continue to carry you forward for another couple meters or so. If you're too close when you release, your momentum will carry you over the foul line.

      There's quite a bit of time between their throws, they gotta stay warm and it wasn't too warm there.

    Why do they jump about like a little human show horse for 5 seconds or so before running to throw?? 10:28 is a prime example. I mean runners don't do it before running, in fact, no one does. What's that little show horse bit all in aid of? Even the run is like a show horse sometimes. It ain't a show horse show but if it were, she would have done well with that trot.

      you don’t wanna throw too close to the line because yiu wanna give yourself space so step threw or fall without passing the line

      Finnish throwers aren't what they used to be. Teri Pitkamaki was the last of the great Finland throwing tradition. Germany has now taken over.
