I totally agree, Dave. I switched from SCX to Carrera, and the difference is enormous in every instance: the paint, the tempo, the number of molds and liveries, and the respect for licensing their products. I feel value in the product, in the brand's relationship, the best licenses, the general quality, and the support of everybody in the company. As you know, I race in the digital format. I don't need rocket ships. I need a reliable car and system to have fun and compete. Kudos to Carrera Digital 132.
Good video Dave. I DO remember laughter. Racing IS fun! Great Zep reference! I agree Carrera is good for the wallet. Both of those, the Procar and VW bus are awesome.| Race On!
Listen drop a piranha plug n play 25k motor in a Carrera (makes up for the weight )some quick slicks they’ll dance with any car . The best part is they are the most robust strongest slot car on the market . I mean you can beat them to death and they hold up most fast cars I won’t say names are kinda paper thin and expensive . Most solid built car on the market .
Great review Dave! Value for money spent, Carrera is the best in the hobby. Even more so now that Scalextric announced upcoming price increases. Great stuff!
@@chrisfreter3629 Thanks Chris, Sew and Dave. I'm good now but I went through cancer and a flood in my house. Getting back to things. Dave helped me build a new track my sending me a Policar track and some cars. It's been a year now and the cancer hasn't come back.
Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Please don't let Carrera (and Robert Plant) know just how great of a bargain their cars are, they may pull a Scalextric! Beautiful and fantastic!
Especially on a home track, the super fast rocket cars have no room to run. A Carrera 917K is pretty dang quick right outta the box. Needs quik slicks. Maybe some day the motor gets tired or takes a dump, by then it has a jillion miles on it. Stick in a Piranha what the hell. Carreras run and run and run. Brushes easy to change. Very solid car. They do crash very, very well.
I think, there is a market for super light bodies that fit right onto a carrera car. I ran a 917K with no body it instantly dropped 3/4 second per lap or slightly more. Which is a lot. Even a cheap vacu form body, just something that weighs nothing.
Put a light weight interior (Lexan) and remove any extra weight and screws from the body. Glue parts in that are held with screws. This by it's self will make a huge difference.
“It’s my channel and I talk about what I want. “ 😂 Damn right it is. Great stuff Dave.

Wow, what a main course. I suspect we all need a shot of Jagermeister to help digest these. Prost!
G'day Dave, totally agree with you, Carrera gives you value for money great review 👍

Hi Dave, do you have any info on why the Grello Porsche got canceled by Carrera Toys?
Carrera said online it was licensing issues.
Agreeeee
