I have travelled the canadian plains for 20 years and i was always puzzled by the massive flood channels carved out of the rolling terrain with tiny little creeks left in the bottom... the general narrative was carving from thousand of years of erosion. Then after listening to randall, and hours of scanning google earth.. theres ripple trains 50 miles wide all across saskatchewan. The whole north west corner of nebraska is one big ripple train. We have a cottage in the whiteshell, they say it was all exposed granite bedrock from glaciers scrapping over it.. but massive water flows make so much more sense.

I loved the comment about where the interest began, with the viewmaster. As a mother and grandmother, I talked always to my kids about my weird and out there ideas, influenced by Graham Hancock, Carl Sagan, and my own common sense. Was I supposed to believe that we've been around as a species for say 200,000 years, and lived in caves dressed in bearskins and grunting at one another until the last 10,000 or so? That seems far less likely to me than that the remains we have found were the survivors who had to start over again after some destructive event. We know of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes; whole cycles of ice ages and craters visible on the moon should have been a clue. We have folklore stories from all over the world. Why was this never obvious to "science"? Great work, my kids and I are huge fans.

I really like to listen to Randall Carlson, he does a really good job of explaining his position. I agree that an advanced civilization did exist during the last great ice age. Humans have been on this planet for a very long time and to think that only in the last 10K years we suddenly decided to built cities and societies is foolish. If you recall the History Channel's program called After People, it explored what would be left of our civilization if people suddenly vanished. After 50K years the only evidence would be things like Mount Rushmore and they would be hardly recognizable, most evidence would be gone in less than 10K years. This is without any major events, just natural weathering. So think, how much would be left of our civilization if it were hit with the events of the end of the last ice age? All of our cities would be gone, washed into the oceans and then buried under the seas. Very few people would be left, only those in remote areas away from any devastation. How much information would they have and would they even care. Their only worries would be survival. All our knowledge would become just stories told to their children who wouldn't understand what their parents were telling them.
Depending on how advanced the civilizations were and it could have happened multiple times, we today would only have a few remnants of what they had built. Their histories would only be legends. Today's world may be the 2nd or 5th or more times we've done this.

@@Vexarax Yes! That was a great one. Like how you just refer to the skeptic as "the Skeptic". Don't know if you are catching the Master class ads on YT but I am reminded of Michael Shermer (the skeptic) when Neil deGrasse Tyson makes the statement: " You have enough information to think you are right, but not enough to know you are wrong". I totally dig that statement... Makes me want to drop the cash to hear what else N.d.T. has to say.

@@rickbarnett9274 Yes you are correct. One is entitled to their opinion. However, Randall will let you know if what he is saying is opinion or observation. You do not get that transparency with Shermer or any "skeptic". If someone told you you were wrong, and you asked them the reason for their statement, and they responded "because I said so". Would you respect that statement?

My answer to the "Whats up?" greeting is "The sky, death rates, and taxes." Btw, I've enjoyed your channel, And Randall is THE MAN. There are pyramids in china, and no one in the academics wants to speak about it.

Hi Ben and Randall. I was heavily puzzled like yourselves by the indicators that a very capable and accomplished civilisation(s) had existed before our own and then I was nudged in the direction of SuspiciousObservers and the conclusions became pretty well impossible to refute, especially in light of the fact that governments all over the world are excavating huge bunkers and tunnels for shelter if needed. I'm an old man now. I've had more than the biblical three score years and ten already, but I fear very much for the fate of my children and grandchildren. I don't suppose more than a small percentage of people will be allocated a place in the government bunkers, and none who are not completely fit and able bodied, unless they have specialist capabilities.
