Anything Tommy lends his voice to turns to gold. He's just an amazing musician all in all - singer, composer and musician. As a "solo RUclipsr", with his band Majestica and with Sabaton. One of Sweden's best artists at the moment. And this tribute to Queen Elisabeth II was such a beautiful thing to do.
I would recommend his cover of Stad i ljus. The original was sung by Tommy Körberg in Eurovision 1988. It has since then become the song that plays at closing time and that everyone sings along to aka a swedish Classic. Hi Tauri before I get to Tommy, your beautiful words concerning QE2 I am not ashamed that they made me cry, and she was a constant, stable person for all. Now Tommy what an attention to detail but by his voice. His version to me honoured the song and I listened to more than once just taking what a singer he is and it's controlled power. Thank you Tommy for remembering our late Queen. Graham

I don't really like the tempo being pushed compared to the original. In my opinion, what makes the original so great and triumphant, is the slow tempo in the vocal phrases. Here, it is rushed and i think it takes the melancoly away. Don't get me wrong i love Tomm'ys voice and most of his cover, but here, it doesn't hit home.
He took this beautiful song and somehow took it up a level. He is simply amazing ❤

One of the only covers where there is some deepness to the song (like when Freddie did it). He's not Freddie, but he's damn good.
