I think people watch these videos for one of two reasons: either it reminds them of their childhood, or it’s gives them a taste of the childhood they never had❤️🥺
I can't believe each kid gets a different sandwich that they like! That is real love. The attention to detail of cutting one child's on a diagonal because that is the way they like it, really warmed my heart.

Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NIV ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. No kidding! My Dad used to say: You get what you get! Don’t get upset!” It was just me and my brother. Plus my Dad knew I hated mustard. 🤣 It’s why I started to make my own lunch at 6!
@Nunya Business now you made me think whether a child's tastes have any correlation with what their mom craved when she was pregnant with them. Something like "it's not me who likes this, it's the kid inside me"

Even one kid is hard because it changes your entire life forever. And she decided to even adopt more children plus her own, mothers always say they love us and we make them happy but be we can’t quiet about the fact that this woman is sacrificing her life for the sake of others
Seriously? You do all of this each and everyday and people have the audacity to complain about the "preschool" plates? I am.exhausted just watching you however I give u the utmost respect and admiration. Girl! U are amazing
I know wow!! She’s a rock star!!! Kudos to her!! I have twin boys and they are so picky so I couldn’t make this they wouldn’t eat it. I need to start trying a big breakfast though!!
@@ArtIsDrawing it not making the sandwich they mean the fact she makes a different sandwich for each kid and personalized thier lunch. yes a sandwich is easy to make but remembering and making i think it was six can be hard.
Try cracking the eggs on the counter rather than the edge of the pan. The shards won’t be as an annoying. Also, feed your chickens their shells back to them. It’s great for their egg support. Thanks for sharing.
I was thinking to myself "wow she does a whole LOT in that little kitchen" and she says "I need a bigger kitchen!" 😂😂 Yes mama you do. You deserve a HUGE kitchen!!
im just amazed right now. no words can explain how wonderful of a mother you truely are. the fact that you husband also helps makes him a awesome dad too. much love to you and you family
Thank you for addressing the taboo subject of mental health. As, a daughter who lost her mother to mental illness via suicide it means a lot to me. Your children are so incredibly blessed to have a mother who not only cares but makes sure that her children are getting the help that they need. Life is hard enough so it’s beautiful to see that they have a strong spitfire momma in their corner fighting for them. 💚
the fact that she prepped medication for all the kids, while talking about it in the most logical way made me cry. I've been struggling so much lately to accept that. But it's true... Medication for mental health is something you take to improve your quality of life and overall happiness. It really feels like these kids can communicate with/through her if they feel they want to lower/increase their meds etc.
I know! I wish my parents had this attitude when i was a kid... The funny thing is my dad's been on meds since before i was born and my mom would always be bugging him to stay up to date with his psychiatrist. But, God forbid the child having panic attacks in kindergarten get any mental healthcare. Now I try to be as open as appropriate about my experience with medication to destigmatize it. It has helped me connect with people with similar experiences and reminds me I'm not alone.
I disagree. If a child is raised in a loving, engaged family, he/she should not need meds. The problem lies with teachers/schools. Too many kids and if they're not paying attention or acting out, they immediately have ADHD or some other made up mental issue. My friend's grandkids were prescribed drugs when they were in preschool. Now, they're 15 and 16. Neither of them go to school anymore....why? "Because they don't like it." They stay home all day and play video games or watch tic-toc. My husband comes from a family of 16 kids. Their mother left when the youngest was 2. They all turned out great (well, a few high schoolers smoked a little pot). Mostly blue collar. Again, Big Parm has got us by the huevos. Sneeze? Go to a doctor. Dry eyes? Again, a doctor will give you a prescription to cure it. Just watch out for the side effects, like death.
@@MrTopcat3333 I genuinely hope you aren't saying ADHD is not real. Do not bring your conspiracy theories into actual disabilities. Teachers and schools cannot diagnose conditions/disabilities, etc. They can only make recommendations to the parents to have the child checked out. And honestly, it could be over diagnosed, but thats no reason to claim that it doesn't exist and is just a ploy by medication manufacturers. Discrediting a whole plethora of neurodivergent people by saying its made up is incredibly ableist and closeminded. Please reconsider your wording if this was not your intention.
Medication in many cases is simply a bandaid. Theres ways to manage the difficulties in a natural manner and its less damaging and more effective long term Relying on meds is no way to live
@@MrTopcat3333 I get what you're saying, her case is just a little different. People and doctors nowadays looove to medicate/overmedicate, but she has children with medical reasons to take them. She is very hands-on with raising and makes sure to get family time with them. Sometimes, the problem isn't about nurture, but nature. Sometimes love can trump biology, other times, it can't. If your body can't regulate/produce certains hormones, it's up to medicine to do that, and it takes a very involved parent to realize that.
you're just....amazing!! A woman, a mother and a wife! i admire everything about this video, from looking incredible this early in the morning and just the challenge of taking care of your kids, the likes and dislikes your family has when it comes to food and you knowing them by heart, the way your food ends up being made by love and i love the healthy conversations too! please remember that you're doing so much people are so tired and scared of. really enjoyed this!!
Me rolling out of bed, making a cup of coffee, grabbing a granola bar or instant oatmeal, and feeding my cat before leaving to work feels like an achievement. But my goodness you are a super-woman! And it is all so real and not fake like a lot of family vlog content.
the way you actually give your kids what they like instead of just making 10 of the same sandwich, and even make sure to cut them in the right ways is just so important to me, keep doing what you're doing ❤️
Sure, but maybe there's something to be said about teaching your kids to be appreciative for what they have when it comes to food. I'm not saying don't give them any options but maybe make one type of sandwich and let them decide which parts of it they want to keep/take away and how they want it cut. Or, better yet, make the same type of food you'd make for dinner so that their lunch isn't almost completely nutritionally defunct. (But that's a completely different conversation).
@@Haylla2008 I don't see anything that isn't nutritious, concerning what all this woman is fixing!! I can't even imagine their food bill 💵 Since cafeterias at school gives children choices, on what they will or won't eat, this momma is doing too... I wonder if she is the one who has PTSD? She should if she doesn't, and rather she reminds me of Super Woman 👠 IEPs my G.S. is supposed to have, but his principal and teacher, bully him instead; and say he doesn't need it. Plus give him a horrible time, in trying to prove he doesn't need it... I need a nap just watching this momma!! God Bless You All, Beautifuls!!! Glorious eggs!! Fascinating watch!! Thank You for Sharing!!
@@Haylla2008 a lot of these kids came from situations where food was an issue she feeds them what they are comfortable/familiar with and she makes plenty of healthy food for them.
@@AlyDuncan Not denying that that she makes healthier food for other meals. Just pointing out that typical lunches (and even American breakfasts) made for kids in the U.S. are usually not particularly healthy or balanced (especially compared with other countries). I was unaware of any history with these kids but I don't know if I would use that as an excuse for continuing poor eating habits. In any case, I wasn't speaking of only her. In general, I think there's something to be said for maintaining the philosophy I mentioned... even if it does sound kind of tone-deaf in relation to this specific case.
I love how caring and sweet she is and remembers everything that they love. And her family is so big and yet she shows individual interest it’s amazing and they’re all getting a great life and care and omg I love it. All I love big families this video makes me so happy
Loved the "as long as he's eating it" comment! I'm autistic and have a sensory processing disorder with ocd to spice things up. For me food texture, smell and presentation has always been a HUGE problem. When I was a kid (undiagnosed) my mom was often judged by other parents because I ate mayo/ketchup/mustard sandwiches all the time and refused to eat a certain way or certain things . She didn't give a crap and continued doing what was best for me because "as long as he's eating and growing, it's okay". Thanks to that mindset I always felt safe to speak my mind about things I disliked and have a healthy relationship with food.
As a kid I was just given what my parents would want to eat (I’d like to add that one of them thought mustard would be a good replacement for gravy in the same quantity. So bad taste to begin with) or what everyone else eats (so for school it would be like those processed looking meat slices in perfect circles and white bread, boring and tasteless) and I have a really unhealthy relationship with food even now. I had to have my fiancé come and stand with me while I cooked because I couldn’t face touching the tap because my mother touched it after eating food that I’m actually afraid of. She still doesn’t consider it a real problem and will sit next to me or touch me or leave out food that I’ve been known to be physically sick over being around before. I’ll skip meals on a bad day if she’s snacking on something I can’t face for example. I was underweight for years because I just straight up didn’t enjoy food or know I could enjoy food. Every so often my mum will still make a comment of “weird” or something when I make myself food because now I eat what I enjoy. But I like to look at the silver lining, when I initially moved out 4 years ago, I realised I was finally in control of my own menu and I’ve learnt how to cook all sorts. It’s honestly become a hobby of mine to cook and try new recipes and adapt them. So that’s something I guess. But yeah letting children learn what foods they like and don’t like is significantly more important than people think. I’m in the best shape of my life because it turns out I just don’t like frozen, processed, tasteless food and I’m a complete nerd about proper seasoning and sauces honestly. (Other than pizza which I live for) I’m a nightmare when I don’t get to home cook something fresh and healthy several times a week. It’s good that I have that now but I won’t lie, I do resent that I had to learn all that in my adult life. And the fact that I have all this food phobia which can make going to other peoples houses, being in a kitchen, using a fridge, going to a supermarket so much more anxiety inducing than they need to be. I was always told my dad knew how to cook. (The reason for the mustard situation i mentioned above) turns out he can’t. Man didn’t even salt and pepper his steaks without declaring he was some culinary genius. He really did the bare minimum in preparing food and I was told this is as good as it gets and then they wondered why i didn’t wanna eat. Parents, let your children be their own person. They’re not you or even an extension of you. They’re a separate human entirely, just like any other person you’d meet. Not letting them be that, and not just with food, is damaging.
My grandson is autistic ,and hes so hard to feed ,its sort of ,one thing he hits on ,til he bored and trys somthing else bles him ,it used to be porage breakfast dinner tea ,then chicken nuggets, he will eat toast ,7 days a week ,he had a time sausage rolls ,Greg's only ,mash an gravy ,that's about it ,but every day is toast ,has to be butter ,then if in an eating mood will have one thing from above if not its toast 3 or 4 times a day ,his mom wont have it but like I say so long as he eats ,he can have a full loaf every day for me ,I make plain cup cakes he ices them ,only cake he will eat ,I love him to bits ,I cut his crusts off ,he allways says to his mom u dont make toast like nanna lol ,
Who else LOVES vlogs with little to no editing, where it's almost exactly if you're just sitting at the counter hanging out while she just expresses her thoughts? Edited vlogs may be "entertaining" but THESE vlogs are truly relaxing, grounding, literally a relief when I come home from work and I can just be silent while someone cooks near me and says a couple things here and there. I think it speaks to people like me who's version of quality time is less about speaking and more about their presence.
I dont know how this channel came through my feed but im here for it! The ketchup sandwich and fluff sandwich, really was the kicker. In a world where so many people are ready to criticize, i love the rawness of just being a parent, and feeling grateful that our kid is eating something!😊❤ this video at 1202 am has gotten me exhausted 😂 good job mom!
You have inspired me to get off my lazy butt and get up early to make my family breakfast every morning. No it's not a big family just the husband and my daughter but it really has proven to be great!! They love it and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Thank you for being such an inspiration!!
You're a huge inspiration to me. I struggle with mental health and sometimes just getting out of the bed to do the things I need to do in the morning can be the hardest & seeing you be able to get up, get dressed, put on make up and get 10 kids ready every single day is just amazing. Thank you for your videos!
To all of you…you’re doing a great job, do what you can, if the living room carpet hasn’t been hoovered/vacuumed for a few days 🤷🏼♀️ a few bits of crumbs & goodness knows what will be fine stopping there. Try to prioritise what you must get done, then what needs to be done, then whatever is left. If you don’t have the time, ability or pain (& anything else) then leave it for another time. Or delegate it to someone else 🥰 Give yourselves a break x there’s only one person who’s practically perfect in every way and that’s Mary Poppins x 😂🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Mothers are so underrated. You are amazing, have amazing days with your family! Sending lots of love and hope you and your family stay happy and healthy and wealthy❤️
She says " all I feel like I do is count to 10 constantly"😂😂🤣 I bet so... this lady takes multi tasking to a new level! She's such an inspiration. You try to fit in every childs different needs and likes. I can't get enough of this channel. Love from NC.
Adoption is such a beautiful thing. I was adopted when I was 5. About 9 years ago I found out that I was pregnant, I was still in college, there was this teacher who asked if I was going to keep my baby or do adoption if I chose adoption to keep them in mind. I planned on keeping the baby, until I found out that she and her husband were unable to have kids of their own. Something in my heart just told me that the baby wasn’t really mine and that the baby was meant to be a gift for someone. My parents were foster parents at the time and I asked them that if I chose adoption if I could chose who adopted my baby, when they said yes, I asked the teacher if her and her husband would like to adopt my baby. I at the time wasn’t ready for a child financially and the father was an alcoholic and abusive. Im still involved with my biological child.
As some who fights mental healthy daily I really appreciate you showing doing the medication for it as mental health shouldn’t be stigmatised,as people do battle with it but doesn’t make them any different, thank you for always being an advocate for mental health ❤️
As a mom of a very neurodiverse (all of us) family, thank you for not speeding up your morning routine. I come to youtube to find body doubles to help me keep up basic routines. Mornings are hard for me, and doing my morning routine while watching you has helped immensely. THANKS for normalizing mental health. There is such a long way to go, but we're "out and proud" about it as well.
You've just put into words what I couldn't describe, that body double concept. I do that too, and she is honestly a godsend. Getting up and being active is so much easier now. Glad to see she's helping a lot of us!
Our beloved son, age 32, with autism and learning disabilities, who lives with us, of course, started to eat different things when he was about 25. We were on holiday in France, in a restaurant, and he ate three courses. The first two were based on different parts of the rabbit - of course we told him it was like chicken, including les gésiers, followed by a local honey cake with real vanilla ice cream. We couldn't believe it: at home we were still serving him food on a divided plate, lest something 'wet' touch something 'dry'! He amazed us, and has gone on to eat Greek food in Greece, Egyptian food in Egypt, and New York food in New York. I know it can be amazingly hard in the early years, but take my word that it often gets easier over time. He's the light of our lives, and surprises us almost every day. Just stick at it, and accept all the help you can get. Please excuse me while I order theatre tickets for possibly the eighth time of watching The Lion King on stage in London. It makes him so happy that I can discount the fact that I know every single word and gesture. The one thing I learned was patient love, even if it was 'fake it till you make it ' at times.
"I don't think you have to be worried about winning" 🥰🥰 I love that he phrased it that way. I know this vid is a few months old so I have no idea if you'll even see this comment, but in case you do...Someone will always have something negative to say BUT the fact of the matter is that you win every single day. I am new to your channel (I've been binge watching all your vids, including the very awesome 2 hour vlog), but from what I have seen so far you are an absolutely amazing mom...in fact, in many ways you remind me of my own mom. Is everything always perfect? No, but that's life, you do the absolute best you can every single day (if you're anything like me, self doubt just crept in and told you days you FELT like you were inadequate...HOWEVER I would be willing to bet a LOT that in reality even on those days you were much more successful than you gave yourself credit for, and I would be willing to bet that your children went to bed with full tummies and all their needs met). You have 12 beautiful, happy, healthy children, you make them 3 nutritious meals a day, I see in the backgrounds of your videos bowls full of fruit for them, you make them snacks, you buy them the food they need to feel secure and safe, you don't judge them, you accept them, you love them, I saw one video where someone had taken a juice pouch from your carefully planned and counted lunch stash...and your immediate reaction was not to get mad or frustrated or upset, your immediate reaction was to smile and say "that's ok!" and I could see that to you it really WAS ok...the world wasn't going to end, and your child wasn't going to go without...you don't have to be worried about winning, because you win so many times in so many ways every single day. You are absolutely amazing and I love your videos...somehow they make me feel a little more secure. I don't have a good relationship with family anymore...but this is a reminder of how I used to think family was. Thanks for your videos and thank for reading this if you did 🥰
@@NatalieSheer2010 Knowing who eats what sandwich isn't that hard, the packing, getting everything in the right bag, with different snacks, is the impressive part. 😄
yes, the fact that she cooks for 12 people is amazing, and being a Mom of 10 is crazy awesome, but her real talent is cutting the onions. Not a single tear. Truly inspirational.
This lady is an absolute tornado! She's beyond chilled as she casually prepares an entire day worth of meals for up to 12 people!! Where on earth does she get her energy and good natured skills from? Respect 🙏 ❤
I love that josh felt like he should say "yes please" and corrected himself, its never something i would be upset about someone not doing but at the same time its nice to hear that kinda thing
this is so comforting. the relationship i have with my mom has never been one like this, and its so nice to feel like you're just talking to me and updating me on life instead of pestering/lecturing me. thank you for this content, your kids are extremely lucky
I'm only 01:27 in, and I already love this woman. BRAVO, MOM! I am 38 with ADHD, depression, and anxiety and medicated. My 7 year old son has ASD and ADHD and he's not on meds yet, but we're working through the process. I know that my meds have saved my life, and if I can help my baby to thrive in any way, I will do that.
I am amazed at everything you do for your family. I'm 14 and I have to make my own breakfast, make dinner for me and my brother because my mom doesn't come home til 9 every night, and mom just hands me 5 bucks for lunch. Keep doing what your doing I know your kids appreciate it!
Awww, I'm sure your mom wishes she can cook breakfast and make lunch for you. But, your mom is doing her best to provide for you. It's hard out in the real world. Getting a suitable job can be very difficult.
you’re an awesome teen! i know it can be a lot to bear and tiring, but you’re doing great. your brother will remember that forever, and so will mama 💜 sending my love to ur fam
You are amazing Ash-Lee. I used to do the same as you many years ago. You're doing a very good thing. Your mum is working for your family, and I am positive she wishes it were different. I know she appreciates you. I know it may be frustrating and feel unfair to you, but you will be better for it. Everyone should do chores, you have to do the chores, but it's ok. You are learning how to look after yourself and other people. You are learning how to help. Learning to have responsibility. These are great skills. Alot of your friends are going to have to learn this later, meanwhile you will be able to study, or work, without having to think about organising your home because you already know how. All the best! 🌼
I LOVE the speech on mental health and illness!!! It's SOOO important to keep talking about it! The stigma is heartbreaking. Everyone has mental health, and those with mental illness need to be lifted up and loved and treated the same way we're all treated.
I just found your channel and find it so relaxing to watch. And very nice to see someone talking about medications so freely. ♥️ You work so hard every day for your family. Thank you for the videos.
Why have I never seen this channel before? There was something so nostalgic about this video, from the creaking door to the toaster and microwave tripping a breaker. And as a foster mom of kids with special preferences and needs, it's just so nice to see another mom put some fluff on a sandwich and not apologize for it.
Well, first viewing for me. Am amazed. What a dedicated loving mom. Hopefully the kids can help with some of the prep work. I am surprised that containers of mayo, cream cheese ,etc are so small for so many people. Happiness and health to all
the fact that you remember who likes what, and you take the time to personalize their snacks, shows what a great mom you are. its the small things that we do everyday that show how much we love people.
Oh my goodness, I am amazed to tears! The giving and ordering of yourself in a day, each and every day to accomplish this for people that depend on you is baffling. What a woman!
This is an empowering woman and the fact that she put in the work to record 50 minutes for us I don’t think I’ve ever seen a morning routine video like that good job girly keep slaying
It’s amazes me how she can remember what each child likes on their sandwiches 🥪. She really has to keep her mind set freshly, love how she puts a smile on her face making all them lunches. She’s a sweet busy momma, I gotta say. Love watching her getting things in order and how she accomplishes everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I love the fact that you don't try to pretend like your kids eat a perfect meal. If they want a ketchup or fluff sandwich it's ok. My son is such a picky eater and we have to just give him what he will eat to get him to eat anything at all. Keep it up. You are doing great!
I love how these videos are not sped up, they’re in real time. Because it motivates me by showing me REAL life and how long things actually take. If you can do it, so can I!!
My respects! Just checking for videos on prep lunch boxes ideas for my two daughters, you make it so smoothly and makes me realize it is a matter of routines and not overthinking.
i love watching your videos! my boyfriend is the oldest of 9 and I’m an only child, we had completely different childhoods. To see you prepare a meal for 12 in under an hour really puts into perspective how much work his parents have and how their mornings look like. When I’m visiting they always apologize for the chaos and prepare so much in advance, so I never really get to see their daily life. Thank you for all that you do!
I love your affirmations. My little girl has had a rough year or so, I started doing something like this with her back then to help her believe in herself she started saying no when told she was beautiful. I started doing affirmations with her and slow she's starting to believe she's loved she's beautiful and brave and very stong she has started in the last few months to say them back to me. The power of words really effect us all xxx
I LOVE that she knows what each child likes and doesn’t force them all to eat a turkey sandwich or peanut butter. You want a ketchup sandwich and you want a marshmallow sandwich, okay babes you got it. Lol. With that many kids, it would be easy not to pay attention to each of there wants or likes and she’s so aware of all of them.
I found it really comforting when you made a different sandwich for each kiddo and even threw in their favorite snacks. You remembered all of their tastes and that’s amazing!
Thank you for showing the meds. I am an inpatient psych nurse and so many that I see could have used a mom like you in their lives. Thank you for all you do!!!
I am so amazed, this is inspiring. You love your kids! And the fact that you remember the way they like things and their favorites and accommodate to that! Wow 🫶🏼
What is wrong with people? I’d have totally picked up and used that bagel and told the internet to just deal. Also, eating off toddler plates? Again, what is wrong with people? Who cares? It’s a plate full of yummy food! What a blessing! Love your videos! 💜
Right? Imagine to be so wasteful to look down on somebody finishing some food up if its perfectly fine. Some people have never missed a meal in life I swear...

I have a real question though, isn't it dangerous to put the bread slices for the kids' sandwiches directly in contact with the surface she had desinfected just before with what looks like a chemical product ?
I watch these videos because they remind me of my mom who passed in 1997. My mom always made me the best meals just like Alicia does with her family. I'm so thankful that I had such a good mom who too such good care of me. The Dougherty family is so fortunate to have Alicia at the helm taking care of everyone's needs with so much love and care.🥰
I seriously don’t get why this family gets so much hate. Tell me, can you prepare 3 meals in less than 50 minutes!!! This mom is serious one hell of a super hero. If you are reading this Dougherty Dozen, people should appreciative of how hard you parents works to keep a roof over you 12 kids head, keep food on the table and create and amazing environment for all your family. We all love you! ❤
Yes, Alicia, you are a "special needs" teacher teaching all of us as well as a *special* MOM. Keep doing what you are doing. You are loved and appreciated!!
Thank you for speaking to the awareness of mental health. Especially for children. People do not understand and are so quick to judge but it is real and it is scary. It’s not just in a persons head and little ones have big feelings and when combined with PTSD, bipolar or another illness people are quick to say oh they are just being kids. Keep up the great work! ❤️
I love how she doesnt care about the marshmellow sandwhich if you think about is like the same as a morning donut" she accepts it and lets her kids be kids without altering their likes and tastes. Props to you!! Most moms would be like no eat something else but hey they are kids a fluff sandwhich aint gonna hurt anyone
And they all always get specialized lunch boxes with different snacks 🥺🥺 i know if i had 10 kids theyd all get whatever but she really makes it special for every one of her kids 😭😭

Your crazy for being able to function on a daily basis with all the emotional work it takes to be a mom lol i can barely get myself to go outside lol
I have PTSD and anxiety/insomnia from it. First, so glad you're talking about mental health and medication. Hopefully one day soon there won't be a stigma around it. Second, I watch these either while I'm getting ready for the day or falling asleep. It gives me a sense of comfort and I thank you for uploading these!

It’s RUclips after all. The platform with the most disgusting amount of comments. You can’t do anything on here without someone being an idiot about it.

Hello from Cape Town South Africa, thank you for the videos. There's something therapeutic about watching someone elsework while I rest😁 I love that you're a normal mama with no pretence. You're always going to get people who criticise you and to be honest, if I had dropped that bagel, as I sometimes do, I just brush it off and put it back on the plate. 😆
Thank you for speaking out for those who suffer from mental disorders. PTSD, Bi-Polar disorder, and depression are real things. We need to speak out more in support of families who deal with these issues every day.
I have severe PTSD due to childhood abuse i won’t go into it but I’m sure you can gather what it was. I have my triggers & shut downs but the more i talk about it the more i will heal the little girl inside of me. Thank you Alicia for talking about it on your channel. xXx
Yes I am coming here to say this. I love all her videos but enjoy where she is talking to us (along with her husband) totally feel like we are in the kitchen with her.
@@DoughertyDozen special needs mom never get a day off lol Even when we do, we are stressing about what they are doing. My mom couldn't stand my special needs boys....so I was on my own with no help. But we are doing fine...special needs moms are special damn women
To Chelsea Elizabeth: In my case it would be neither of those...I've read a few comments that reflect my own reaction to these videos, it's very relaxing to watch Alisha's complete control of what would be an otherwise chaotic and frenetic household. Her dashing about the kitchen has an orderly, planned, sort of rhythm to it and there is something else I'm trying to identify....something like a sereness in her attitude, she never seems to get flustered or caught off guard, the perfect mom for such a large, diverse family and totally unlike MY kitchen while raising two kids. I was a "Don't bother me, I'm cooking!" kind if mom (regretfully) but so was my own mother, sadly.
i am so glad that you advocate for mental health ... as someone who went through some pretty severe traumatic experiences as a child and deals with CPTSD [ complex post traumatic stress disorder] , OCD and anxiety/panic disorder ... it is so refreshing to see anyone advocate for those of us who deal with mental health issues on a daily basis. thank you so much!
I can really tell that having these kids was planned, based on how structured your kitchen is, as well as how much love you have for them. You know them, as you would a friend, and care for them as a child should ba cared for. You're the best and I love you.
Omg I just love this. I have 9 and pregnant with number ten I struggle preparing meals and you just knocked three meals out the park like I was going into panic mode but you just did everything so smooth to let me know calm down I got this. Will be following you
Good luck with adding your new little one to the family. You got this! Get all the help you need, when you need it. I’m guessing there is a lot of pre planning that goes into the weeks food. Feeding my family is a challenge so menu plans are essential. I also reuse plans from a couple of weeks previously to help with my lack of inspiration. I can’t repeat too soon or the kids won’t eat it.
I'm 30 with no kids but am in love with your videos. I never had a mom and struggle with domestic chores, being organized and meal planning. Your family is so sweet and the food always looks bomb! Love from Appalachia ☺
I love your meals planning. You can make me school lunch any time looks good. I struggle to have money to eat lunch. Had to make for school on my own for six years and don't get fancial aid. Because too many units but I have a learning disability and than get penalize for it .
the fact that she can remember who’s medication is who’s and who likes what sandwich and who likes the diagonal cut on the sandwich or just straight up and down AMAZES ME!! Mama you are a superwoman, i am so amazed at what you did in 50 minutes like THREE meals for TWELVE kids jeez. And the fact you let the kids eat what sandwich THEY like, even if it’s weird or if it’s different
Wow that's amazing! I mean, I guess you just adapt and remember and it goes automatically, but the way you make 10 totally different sandwiches simultaniously and then pack 10 absolutely different lunches...that's impressive! You're my hero)
More power to you, my friend! I struggled to do this for four to five children and I usually wasn’t prepping three meals at one time! You…are a rock star!!!
I love how authentic she is. Me and my family can relate to her routine in certain ways....and your not the only one who sticks their hand in food to see if its hot enough lol! You such a sweet mom. God bless you!!💜

Oh my gosh...this soooooo takes me back! I'm the mom of 10 also. We had 9 in 15 years, then adopted a special needs child via DCF. I cooked, baked (made my own bread - 4 to 6 loaves every other day), washed dishes, did laundry, and cleaned from morning till night. Throw in taking care of and spending time with the kids. I'm exhausted thinking about it. Back in those days there weren't any huge crockpots/slow cookers. To save some time, we made up school lunches every two weeks. But the kids to work and assembly lined making sandwiches (froze them), bagging up chips, Goldfish, cookies, etc. That way in the mornings, the kids would just grab whatever kind of sandwich they wanted from the freezer, bags of chips, and cookies from the pantry, and whatever fruit they wanted, and then packed their own lunchboxes. LOL, we also had match socks night. Everyone would sit in front of the TV and match socks. Someone actually said to me one day "gee, you must have to do laundry more than once a week". It's like NOPE, at least a load of whites, colors, darks, and 2 loads of towels every day.
I suffer from bipolar and PTSD. I love that you talk about it. There is a stigma and that’s why people don’t like to talk about it. Thank you for talking about it!
No criticism…. Just LOVE…. Those chickens would love the egg shells for calcium and the floor bagel. My husband stopped complaining if we had a few scraps or leftovers when we got chickens. They get what we don’t eat and turn it into delicious eggs!
I think people watch these videos for one of two reasons: either it reminds them of their childhood, or it’s gives them a taste of the childhood they never had❤️🥺

this woman is something else. I dont know how many children are really hers but to agree to adopt even one is such a blessing.
Even one kid is hard because it changes your entire life forever. And she decided to even adopt more children plus her own, mothers always say they love us and we make them happy but be we can’t quiet about the fact that this woman is sacrificing her life for the sake of others
They all are hers. Some were just brought home in different ways.
I think they meant how many r hers biologically. I know they’re all theirs, but I think she gave birth to 2. Adopted the rest.

Theres ways to manage the difficulties in a natural manner and its less damaging and more effective long term
Relying on meds is no way to live
@@MrTopcat3333 I get what you're saying, her case is just a little different. People and doctors nowadays looove to medicate/overmedicate, but she has children with medical reasons to take them. She is very hands-on with raising and makes sure to get family time with them. Sometimes, the problem isn't about nurture, but nature. Sometimes love can trump biology, other times, it can't. If your body can't regulate/produce certains hormones, it's up to medicine to do that, and it takes a very involved parent to realize that.
you're just....amazing!! A woman, a mother and a wife! i admire everything about this video, from looking incredible this early in the morning and just the challenge of taking care of your kids, the likes and dislikes your family has when it comes to food and you knowing them by heart, the way your food ends up being made by love and i love the healthy conversations too! please remember that you're doing so much people are so tired and scared of. really enjoyed this!!

lol me too..truly an amazing woman💐💐💐💐
the way you actually give your kids what they like instead of just making 10 of the same sandwich, and even make sure to cut them in the right ways is just so important to me, keep doing what you're doing ❤️

I hate how she used the same knife to cut through each sandwich which means ketchup had to have gotten in the fluff sandwich 😭😭😭

You’re amazing ❤
@@carolynloughran5450 Thank you so much! I'm very proud of both of our children. It's very kind of you to write as you did, and it makes me so happy.
"I don't think you have to be worried about winning" 🥰🥰
I love that he phrased it that way. Thanks for your videos and thank for reading this if you did 🥰
I can tell she’s a amazing mother by the fact she remembers every different type of sandwich for every kid.
and that she keeps them all in order some how and gets them into the correct lunch bag!
When she cut the onions she didn't cry because she wears contacts. It's that way for me too. The contacts block the fumes therefore no tears.
😂😂😂😂😂😂agreed
She has a cold, not being able to smell probably helped.
She didn’t cook for 12 people she cooked for thirty people and it will be eaten by 12. This makes me so angry.
This lady is an absolute tornado! She's beyond chilled as she casually prepares an entire day worth of meals for up to 12 people!!
Where on earth does she get her energy and good natured skills from?
Respect 🙏 ❤
I love that josh felt like he should say "yes please" and corrected himself, its never something i would be upset about someone not doing but at the same time its nice to hear that kinda thing
this is so comforting. the relationship i have with my mom has never been one like this, and its so nice to feel like you're just talking to me and updating me on life instead of pestering/lecturing me. thank you for this content, your kids are extremely lucky
i feel exactly the same. it’s so nice watching
🧡🧡🧡
I love her for this because it's so real
I am amazed at everything you do for your family. I'm 14 and I have to make my own breakfast, make dinner for me and my brother because my mom doesn't come home til 9 every night, and mom just hands me 5 bucks for lunch. Keep doing what your doing I know your kids appreciate it!
Awww, I'm sure your mom wishes she can cook breakfast and make lunch for you. But, your mom is doing her best to provide for you. It's hard out in the real world. Getting a suitable job can be very difficult.
You’re awesome! Taking on such big responsibility at such young age❤️
you’re an awesome teen! i know it can be a lot to bear and tiring, but you’re doing great. your brother will remember that forever, and so will mama 💜 sending my love to ur fam
Be happy for your mum she's trying to make sure you have a good life in feature than staying at cook for you and you suffer in feature ☺️
Why are they getting so much medication?
Well, first viewing for me. Am amazed. What a dedicated loving mom. Hopefully the kids can help with some of the prep work. I am surprised that containers of mayo, cream cheese ,etc are so small for so many people. Happiness and health to all
Habt ihr alle den Verstand verloren?
the fact that you remember who likes what, and you take the time to personalize their snacks, shows what a great mom you are. its the small things that we do everyday that show how much we love people.
Oh my goodness, I am amazed to tears! The giving and ordering of yourself in a day, each and every day to accomplish this for people that depend on you is baffling. What a woman!
I love her, she's so soothing to me. People are lucky to have her in their lives!
💜💜

And if someone throws it away , they complain too
I have a real question though, isn't it dangerous to put the bread slices for the kids' sandwiches directly in contact with the surface she had desinfected just before with what looks like a chemical product ?

Her husband is not her!
well but so the kids never learn to do things on theyr own
Thank you for speaking to the awareness of mental health.
@@gabbyd1802 lol right?!😭💜
And i thought letting my 6 yr old have an extra snack or juice, or not forcing him to eat veggies made me a terrible mom. This makes me feel loads better lol and i can barely handle the one kid.
Thank you Alicia for talking about it on your channel. xXx

I LOVE watching your routine, it brings me such a sense of peace I can't explain! Thank you!!!
i am so glad that you advocate for mental health ... as someone who went through some pretty severe traumatic experiences as a child and deals with CPTSD [ complex post traumatic stress disorder] , OCD and anxiety/panic disorder ... it is so refreshing to see anyone advocate for those of us who deal with mental health issues on a daily basis. thank you so much!

As an adult who struggles to even pack myself lunch for work, I have so much respect for you!
I love how you support mental health & embrace the challenges.
