I feel like Logan in round 1 this fight is the best we have ever seen from him, the jab was so quick and snappy and that right hand was so accurate and he followed up. In the 2nd KSI fight it was just a single jab and very occasionally a right hand.
He also just look not there in the second fight
Logan took a couple of big shots from KSI, which caused him to be timid and more elusive in the second fight. In the rematch, Logan decided to avoid getting hit rather than take one and counter whenever KSI entered. You WILL get hit, but I think Logan thought that was optional and not inevitable.
@@ephraimwolobah9152even before he got hit by any power punches he was being timid. He just clearly wasn't in the moment/was having a bad night, had nothing to do with JJ scaring him with his power.

@anthonyquesada1999 It was KSI's power and Logan gassing. First fight you had Logan coming forward, eating damage, giving damage, gassing, and getting punished for it. He threw less in the second fight to not get gassed or f***ed up.
If I remember correctly the reason JJ didn’t throw many left hooks after the second round was because he fractured his hand if you go back to his reaction to the fight he explains it.

Very even amateur boxing fight, but how that last round isn’t a 10-8 for KSI baffles me, should’ve been 58-57 KSI unanimously, only Morris got it right.

@@user-he2ou2ex2fimo it’s a 10-8 round because KSI dominated the round by a huge margin, literally was the definition of one way traffic. If this fight had gone another round, Logan would’ve been knocked to the canvas, he had absolutely nothing left.
@@BrekShea808 nowhere near enough clean punches to justify winning that round by ‘a huge margin’. Judges are encouraged to avoid 10-8 rounds without a knockdown as much as possible. It has to be so overwhelmingly clear. This wasn’t.
@@user-he2ou2ex2fwhen one man is literally getting teed off on, not answering with punches whatsoever, repeatedly trying to hold on for dear life, but getting clipped with multiple blows to the skull, including literally stumbling into JJ’s arms at the end, despite an unorthodox fighting style by KSI, to me that’s the definition of a clear 10-8 round.
Basically, if you thought KSI won, you thought he won rounds 3,4,5 and 6, or 3,4, and a 10-8 in round 6.
If you thought Logan won, you thought he won rounds 12, 5 and MAYBE round 3 or 4.
This fight was definitely more entertaining for me than the second one; more action, more punches thrown and landed (logan wasn't hesitant), and the showboating. Watching KSI go from being dominated in the first two rounds to nearly stopping Logan in the sixth is some of the most anime sh*t I've witnessed live. This should be the standard for all big name YT boxing fights.
what makes this the benchmark example of RUclips boxing. If Logan stepped it up in the earlier rounds and showboated less, then it would've been a steeper climb for JJ to regain momentum. If there was one more round after the 6th, it would probably take KSI around a minute for him to stop and possibly drop Logan.
It can't be a 10 8 I'm the sixth. It wasn't close but to have a 10 8 with no knockdown it has to be much more dominant than that

If we go by boxing rules then a draw does seem the most appropriate, but if we were going by who won it, in terms of who did the most damage and if it went on longer who would win by knockout, it was KSI. And I feel like in the court of public opinion at the time that's how it felt, espcially as most people who watched it weren't huge boxing fans, so didn't know how you you judged boxing. So what they saw was KSI do more damage and if it went on longer KSI would again do more damage, so therefore KSI wins.
That’s not how boxing works. U can’t just make up rules or spin this narrative because your a ksi fan.

I think in the first fight and even his other fights Logan is more afraid of being Knocked out and knocking someone else out as much as he loves to pretend to be this big tough guy he doesn't have that killer instinct to knock some one out. Which is why I have always said Logan is the better wrestler and Jake is the better fighter.

Watching it live I thought Logan won because he was the more "traditional boxer" and I held bias towards KSI's fighting style. Watching it now I think a draw was fair.
I remember scoring the last round a 10-8 for KSI. Big shots landed, Logan offered nothing. He won this fight for me edging it with that round.
thought KSI edged it for a while but it is honestly a draw since you would need standing 8 counts for a 10-8 round. RD 1, 2, and 5 for Logan and RD 3, 4 and 6 for JJ.
Standing 8 count isnt required for a 10-8 round. If you dominate a round you can still get a 10-8

This first fight and rivalry got me into watching and doing boxing. The level of hype and anticipation was unmatched.
When this fight happend I was actually the only one who said Logan and ksi if they were not boxing each other would be friends and people thought I was bugging as they thought the beef was real I never bought Ksi and Logan's beef at all

ppl thought the beef was fake at the time since people were still adjusting to the scene. Alot of people saw some similarities between the two and said this but it would definitely take them a while before they put their differences aside.

JJ IS a dirty fighter. I get Sensei wants to say that's just him doing what he can to make things work, and he's just fighting, but by boxing standards he is a dirty fighter. He's not clean, he's not crisp, his technique is unorthodox. His shots loop so much that if his opponent moves forward he's always hitting the back of the head. JJ is a dirty fighter, but he's not a maliciously dirty fighter, which I think is what people think of when they hear 'dirty'. He's not a Salido or a Margarito, but he's not a clean boxer either.

he wouldn't be the best because he's the most athletic, but more so because he has the best boxing technique and iq for his size. logan's definitely a more strategic fighter. So, I do agree that he has the potential to be the best. And I still think he's top three. who in the space could possibly be a challenge for logan realistically besides maybe jake and ksi.

What's really crazy to me is if this fight was in 10oz gloves and no head gear, I think Logan probably would have won this fight. Then to take it a step further since I'm doing hypotheticals.. What if Logan had won 1 fight before this? Yes he's stronger and had more reach than KSI, but 1 person had experience getting hit in the ring, and the other person didn't. So I kinda hate hearing people say Logan should have won in a sense like as if KSI was scored higher because he was thought to lose.. but that's kind of whack if you ask me. It wasn't like Logan vs Mayweather were Logan got the benefit of the doubt because he was against a world class boxer possibly the best of the best. KSI Vs Logan was a way closer match in terms of skill, but KSI had experience.. so to me if anything Logan should have won by split decision. Especially since I don't think KSI really did damage in the later rounds as much as Logan was simply fatigue which made the shots landing on him look worse than they were. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but KSI would have been deducted a point(assuming he got a warning after the first attempt) for the second attempt at throwing Logan if it was a Pro Bout like their second fight right?
Once again this is a hypothetical, and I'm a fan of both of them. Just giving my honest perception of what could have been.

Everyone sleepin’ on Logan’s diss-track, which I’ve been saying for years, little realising that it’s one of the hardest beats/compositions put together, in all of music-kind, and who better than the industry great, Sickick, to be the one to do it - one of the world’s absolute best artists/DJs/producers/singers. I always wondered who produced that track, because it is SO impossibly dope, and when I actually went back to discover the person responsible, I was absolute gobsmacked to find that it was my most favourite artist, out there. Suffice it to say, nothing made as much eerily full circle-esque, soulfully cathartic sense, since.
Cannot believe Logan’s team was so ahead of their time in knowing EXACTLY who to have on their side of the battle of the diss-tracks, to stand a formidable fighting chance. Sickick definitely delivered like nobody’s business, like only he can. Imagine having one of the arguably dopest creators on your side, when you’re operating at a gross disadvantage. Logan’s track unapologetically slaps, till today, and is something I actively bump proudly, when I’m driving, and it’s all thanks to none other than Sickick’s timeless genius.
