why didn't you replace the capacitor!?! also I had a phone like this where the touch worked until you locked the phone it worked on boot until it was locked and then I never saw you like that phone and then unlock it and try to try the touch I wonder if it would have worked then

I've watched several different touch ic videos....some re-balling the chips and some replacing them with new ones....some run m1 jumper on iPhone 6 plus while there at it......but, for a handy dandy Diy'er like myself, I'm trying to soak up as much vital info as I can, so that I can perform iPhone surgery on my 6 plus, that being said can someone answer me a few simple questions? What temp is good for removing and replacing the meson chip? If replacing with "NEW" chip does it need soder added or does it already come with pre-soderd balls? What kind of liquid do I use to clean off flux? Acetone? Alcohol? Fiberglass scratch brush? Or Q-tip? I'm an amateur but enjoy learning how things work, however I like to go at a project with all the necessary tools for the job... thanks

hey I have just been heating up the board in that area and applying firm pressure to the touch ic and it seems to solve the issue. I think when it bends it gets out of place so it just needs heat and realigning

Your skills are amazing and with the info you have given especially the heat 380-400C I was too low at 325 and toasting the boards as I was too long heating.... Anyway ordered a Touch IC chip to replace on an iphone 6...Cant wait to give it a try...I will be watching your video a few times getting ready to tackle it...
Well done, but why would you throw away that resistor/capacitor, did you even measure it or know why it was placed there? It will only lead to problems, maybe even months later...

you are very professional that the heat did not damage the other parts like power ic. good for you. amazingly fast done. I bought irda machine and it is with heat infra red lamp instead of blow heat. so the lamp I used just damaged the ic power cheap and it heats up and does not start anymore the iPhone 6 plus. I had only problem with touch screen ic cheap before but damaged while heating the power ic. my irda machine temperature is maximum 350

Might be just the LCD. You can try to purchase one and dont fully install the screen just connect the connector if it turn on and works then it was that if not it could be something more than the IC it might be bad connectors

Usually it will only help warm up both ic. No need to change the IC power touch.
