Btw what a frickin' line this is! Good job on the thin section (gotta love those totems, huh? :D), I thought you were gonna have to use the crack for feet, didn't see any footholds on the video, was that all smearing?
@@KubaClimbsRocks There are a few small smeary feet to be had! Definitely toed in on the crack a wee bit also! Such a fantastic line. You gotta get on it! The BD crack gloves are pretty sick! They are nice and thin, which can be good if you are trying to climb thin hands but don’t want to wreck your skin. They are more durable than the OR gloves and the added thumb protection is nice. I also have the Ocun gloves, which I prefer for routes with mostly #2s or larger. They offer a ton of protection and confidence.
Bradford, what is that anchor device you're using at 16:03. I saw you use it in another video and I've never seen it before. Great looking pitch, btw! Love how you remain calm even when you grab the wrong piece of gear. I hate it when I do that.
Yep! The camp swing. It’s a nice device, similar to the Petzl Connect. However, I would highly recommend the petzl one. Easier to use, although much more expensive. It’s made of dynamic rope, so it’s safer than slings, cord, or webbing as a PAS as it has a greater capability of absorbing static falls than the others. (Although, as you know, taking any sort of shock load to a PAS is bad news).
Beautiful pitch. Hero black totem
That black totem is so much more bomber feeling than the same respective size from other brands 😂 whip on that bad boy all day long.
Hey Brad, how yare you finding the BD crack gloves, does it feel like tape or bulkier? Cheers!
