Rayanne stole the show in every scene she was in
I loved this show and it had so much room to grow. It certainly deserved more than one season

Claire Danes didn't want to do another season, but I agree.

I bought the whole series and am not ashamed to say that I still love watching episodes on occasion at my age.

I always thought the scene with the drama teacher and Ricky was so profound. When the teacher says to him, “No one should hide who they are”.

21:12 I remember watching this episode and the song "Late At Night" by Buffalo Tom came on. I thought it was just a really great song and ended up searching it out and downloading it years later. There were so many good songs used in this show.
They are all so sweet. I think Brian's chemistry with every character, no matter how unlikely, was so interesting to witness. He was also great with delivery and timing. The way he says "actually, it's my bike" is so funny!
This show is so much like Thirtysomething in almost every aspect. It’s the same producers and writers; you can even tell by the music in the background and the camera angles and shots.

They all look amazing.. I still wish a season 2 happened.. I still like to think Angela and Brian ended up together.

Awesome 👍😎😎 show amazing storylines talented group of actors I love it as a teenager till this day at 41 I wish we had more seasons to see what happens to the characters watch them grow and progress it is so sad and tragic it got cancelled after only 1"season it was a special show no other shows exist like it today I keep watching reruns of my so called life.
"Halloween" and "the substitute", were my favorites ❤

I just finished a rewatch, so I am really loving to hear from the actors on their takes on their characters all these years later.
To this day I still wonder what Rayanne Graff did to Jodie Barsh. Of course, according to Sharon Cherski that is "like, so known"

But Billy crystals character was more of a caricature of a gay man, not a deep portrayal like Rickie Vasquez
Like Wilson Cruz said, Rickie was an adolescent. There were no other gay teenage characters in primetime at the time of this show.
When were the interviews filmed? They're obviously older than they were on the show.

Sometime between 2006 and 2010 because Wilson Cruz references Ugly Betty, which was on during that period. I was curious too lol!
