I kept my eyes on this piece for years and elected to pull the trigger as soon as I learned it was discontinued. It’s spectacular. The blue dial is stunning. The case is NOT the same case as the yellow gold version or the stainless models. The lugs are symmetrical and curve downward. It’s actually quite similar to the new 2023-2024 redesigned case. It’s a perfectly proportioned and beautiful watch in every way!

All of the more recent precious metal Daytonas, including the ones on the Oysterflex share the same case design with the symmetrical lugs. The most recent steal Daytonas also have very similar case design, if not identical. The newest Daytonas do have a different case back design.

I have the watch and it’s way better in person. I like it more and more the longer I’ve owned it. I also own the platinum and those are my 2 favorite Daytonas, even though the yellow gold green dial gets all of the hype.
