Thanks, I am glad you like the video. We will be going back out regularly one day a week after work. Hopefully we will be able to get a earlier start. We up against the clock for daylight. I did see some things I would love to session on my next ride out there.
MTBing Adventures yeah I beat the rain haha right as I left it started raining, and yeah lately I’ve noticed it’s busier with no parking inside the park everyone parks near the gas station and rides in!
@@CartaIV glad you were able to beat the rain. Yeah, I figured everyone was parking outside and riding in and that the place would be busy. I've been hearing from all my buddies that is what they are doing. I am itching to get some real good riding in. Can't wait for all this crud to be over with.
Sly Park (Jenkinson Lake) and Rockville in Fairfield are great areas to ride that aren't to far away. Auburn and Salmon Falls have lots of hidden goodies around them to. I am not sure if you have been on Manzanita Trail or Brown's Ravine.
The trail does not look like this any longer is more smooth next time go ride blue pipe and the double black diamond fun trails to the north of the hidden pond. Look for the sign that reads all are welcome experience riders warning. Also as of November of 2020 they are enforcing the trails if some one rides the none cycling trails remember is a 300 dollar fine that's what the ranger told me and my buds when they were educating cyclist.
It's been a long time since I have been out there and probably won't be going back for a while. I prefer to ride the Salmon Falls side. I do love some of the features that Granite bay offers but I know those are all questionable legal riding areas. I have a video of exploring all the random stuff but just made a creative title. ruclips.net/video/a0i2nJlcppk/видео.html
Thanks, it's got some areas of rock and fun, but you really have to hunt around for the good stuff. Rockville has some good technical lines all over. It's a nice fun trail but not as fun as Rockville. I don't want you to be mislead. It is worth riding if you are in the area. Especially when the conditions are good. The lake is very nice and there can be some fast flow sections that always make for a good time. Thanks for checking out the video.
MTBing Adventures thanks! I had same thoughts. I'm hitting grouse ridge tomorrow for first time this season and but it might be a gamble depending on conditions
Grouse ridge is great. It might have some snow up there but might be doable. If there is snow there you can drop back down to Nevada City and hit some trails there. Grouse Ridge miles are brutal if you do get to ride out there so be ready to really challenge yourself.
Remember riding on BMX bikes in the early 80s on these trails, and still riding them today whether it be by bike or horseback throughout the area. Yes it probably was poison oak and during the season the oak tree silkworms get really bad. Biggest problem now is there just to many goddamn people....Some really dumb ones
Crazy you were riding these trails on BMX. That probably really dialed in some skills though. It does suck how many people are out and about now. I like to go really deep into some trails on the Darrington side. The more insane of a climb the less people and the better the downhill fun will be.
@@mtbingadventures1551 Yeah we all raced/rode BMX in the 80’s and we were in really good shape with a lot of young energy, and we didn’t have the luxury of mountain bikes then…but I wish we did. We took a lot of breaks. Lol! Was cool riding out of the driveway and disappearing for the day out riding and swimming 👍
Nice video...Can you provide the address of the starting location for this trail please. Me and my son are new to mountain biking and looking for local areas to ride. Thank you.Ken
Welcome to the sport and welcome to the channel. Thanks for checking it out. Here is a link from Trailforks www.trailforks.com/poi/17129/ Trailsforks is a great app to help you find trails around you. It will show you if the trail is beginner or advanced and will also give you distance and all the good stuff. Let me know how it goes. I also have some links in the description below the video.
I did forget to mention that some of the parking areas are paid parking. There are some places you can park for free but are kinda of far from the trail and you would have to ride there.
Kenneth Buenavista if you dont want to pay for parking, go after school hours or on weekends you can park at the cavit stallman middle school and you will find a trail head behind the soccer field. Go up the the trail and take a left a few miles before you get to the single track.
Have to drive a little further to get to any mountains. This place is just a local trail next to Folsom Lake. Not a great place to go but close to my house.
Ah, thanks man. I live in CO and all we do out here is climb it seems. I may be taking a job in Sac and was thinking of living in Folsom or Auburn. From what I've seen Auburn and Grass Valley has some great riding.
Yeah, there is some great riding in those areas. The nice thing is South Lake Tahoe is not far from Folsom area and Truckee and Grass Valley are close to Auburn. You will be able to find good mountain trails around. Probably not as many as CO but there is some good stuff around.
It is called Granite Bay. For some reason TrailForks does not show this very popular trail. I went to MTB Project and found a link. I hope this helps out. www.mtbproject.com/trail/2503849/granite-bay-trail
Your welcome. I hope you have a great ride out there. The lake is really high right now so some of the trails are blocked off by water. You can still find plenty to ride out there.
Thanks man. I appreciate the support and I will keep bringing the adventure videos. I hope to keep make them better and better. I subscribed to your channel awhile back and have been checking out your videos. You got some really cool edits going on.
Yeah, I don't ride Granite Bay or Brown's Ravine to often. Definitely had to do some videos for out there though. I ride Salmon Falls side a lot and I really like that side.
I know these trails well and it's interesting to see how they've changed a bit over the last six years.
This is my new favorite Granite Bay video. There's a lot more to ride out there, but you guys hit all the main fun stuff...nice work!
Thanks, I am glad you like the video. We will be going back out regularly one day a week after work. Hopefully we will be able to get a earlier start. We up against the clock for daylight. I did see some things I would love to session on my next ride out there.
i was there on Monday lot of people and lots of fun. Good job keep it up.
Thanks, we try to ride out there every Tuesday evening while the daylight is good.
crazy to see what it looked like two years ago I literally just rode there today!
Did you beat the rain? I heard all the local trails have been getting insane busy.

Great video.... really fun to watch this ride
Thanks, looks like you have been catching up on a few of my videos lately. Really appreciate you watching the channel.
Hey, awesome video. I love this trail, I've done Salmon Falls(Darrington Trail), Foresthill Divide, and this one. Any suggestions that I could ride?

my favorite local trail
Those are great trails. You are fortunate to have those close to you. I will be riding up there a lot more

MTBing Adventures yeah for sure. I went there last year end of season and been actious to go back! I ended up doing 5500ft in about 30 miles
petayV8 great day of riding. That is awesome! I love hearing people put in those kinds of miles w that much climbing.

It is on the west side of Folsom lake, CA.
MTBing Adventures thanks that's the trail I was thinking about taking her on.
Your welcome. I hope you have a great ride out there. The lake is really high right now so some of the trails are blocked off by water. You can still find plenty to ride out there.
MTBing Adventures good to know i didn't even consider that. Any other recommendations to take a beginner in the area?
nice mtb video bro, good inspiration for my next video, keep it up +1 suscrubed !o

The east side of Folsom lake is far better. Granite bay and Brown's ravine are kinda garbage. Good for beginner rider's tho.
