Very exciting to see how things have come along with AmiCube and I am getting excited! Now of course I am torn with upgrading my older 1.97itx with PiStorm to the newer 1.98itx with the WiFi header, newer original case, and the AmiCube PiStorm, or hold off and wait for the AmiCube and AmiCube PiStorm... 🤔
Very nice Ranko. Looking forward to seeing how things are going on AmiCube. Also, I will get in touch later this winter regarding my MiniMig and PiStorm.
Hi Peter, thank you! You should stop by-I’ll set aside one of the first PiStorm68K boards for you. It would be great to have your help with testing and using the first batch.
This AGA AmiCube is awesome, Ranko. Truly provides that Amiga experience, I look forward to being able to get one of these when completed and available.
i cant wait till the new board is done with floppy support.... i am dying to build a Tower but that may have to wait for Zorro II this is so the future of the Amiga
Don't forget, it would be great if you could have an internal header for the VGA port so that an RGB2HDMI module can be housed inside and get it's signal as close to the analog source as possible. Maybe even before the resistor ladder to allow for an even cleaner digital conversion? I know VGA is easier to implement, but display wise it really is going away... Also the ability to use a wired ethernet module instead of a wifi module would be fantastic.
Sure thing! This will be straightforward. I’d also like to implement this. Additionally, the AmiCube will feature HDMI output for the Amiga, but RGB2HDMI is also a fantastic option.
Thanks for the Amicube update! Looking great! I think your turbo clock selector switch is a great idea. I was hoping you turned the board around to show the ports. Do you still plan on midi ports?
Would it make sense for a next revision of Amicube to include all this logic onboard? So you could just plug a raspberry pi straight to it or use the 68k cpu?
@@danielyttervoll1907 yes, I know about those options, but the fact that this one can have both the Pi and the 68k on it at the same time, is just... pure awesomeness!
I think you should keep the arm chip. Even though the s6 is big, it might be a problem in future if space gets tight. Maybe it could be used for other tasks? Do you plan to implement rtg or advanced video modes HD, wide screen? Would it be possible on this or the S7 to implement a PPC system?
Looking forward to more AmiCube updates, I'm eager to buy a AGA AmiCube as soon as they are available!
Thank you, Christoffer! There's still some work to be done, but once I have a working prototype, the porting process should be much more manageable.
Been following your Amicube development This will be a great to upgrade from my Minimig

@@amicube Sounds good Ranko. Just shoot me an email with your home address when you are ready.
Will be watching this project closely. looking forward to being able to get my hands on an Amicube!
Great update. Looking forward to further progress updates. 👏👏👏
Super cool that you're making a board with floppy drive support! Now we're talking, might consider a purchase.

...and now I spotted the name you gave it, in true Amiga tradition: Love Shack. Very cool:)
Thanks Ranko. Very interested to get one of these when available.
Thanks for your interest!
I would love to have an FPGA Amiga with a serial port, I would love to do some sampling and MIDI stuff with an FPGA Amiga
Is it possible to change de mini usb connector @ j7 to a usb-c connector?
Cool! ❤

Wow, this is amazing! Could the PiStorm also work in a real A500?
Yes shure there is pistorm for Amiga 500, Amiga 1200 with pi32lite is awsome!

Yes, and 2000 It fits in the DIP 64 CPU socket
