I hate that red light. I actually put a smart plug on my hub so, I can reboot it from my phone without having to go behind my rack. Works most of the time but sometimes I have to do the reset button. Anyway, not that your method doesn't work, but can just tap the reset button once to get the right light blinking and then tap "Set Up New Hub." From there just connect to wifi and then click "Connect". Just a bit simpler way of doing it.
@@COGuyStuff Rebooting definitely doesn't always work, at least not right away, but I don't think I've ever had the reset button not work. These things are finicky though. Ive got some hubs that I never have to mess with and others that will go red sometimes. So, I could see some hubs out there needing a different procedure to reconnect. Ive just never had to do the full reset procedure unless I was restoring factory settings.

Simpler but not guaranteed to work.
