Doggy day care would be a good choice for him if he can’t be left alone. Or you can get a dog walker to come get him and take him for a walk part way through the day. I will say after watching your videos, he does seem to be a VERY needy dog. They are all different and it generally just takes time to work through it. Some take longer than others. But I personally haven’t ever had a dog with quite as much separation anxiety as Roo. Maybe work with a trainer on some strategies to help him be calm when you’re gone. Also there are some calming treats with melatonin or chamomile that can help as well. He’s pretty cute. I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out. Also he’ll calm a bit with age. It’s interesting how much his color has changed since he was born.

I would have the camera on if you know you’ll be out for longer periods of time. He will be okay if you do need to stay out longer, and eventually begin to get used to it if it’s a full time job or full time education. I got my cockapoo in May 2021, a month after you got Roo! I don’t think lockdown helped with them as they would’ve got so used to us😪 but they are only young so don’t worry! Maisey is also very clingy and cries when me or my partner go out. Best thing is to keep pushing the time they are alone! As long as they access to a cool place, water and food and a blanket or a bed they will be okay. If you do have a neighbour or a friend that you trust that can go in whilst your out to let him out and fuss him for a bit that might make you feel better! 👍🏽😃

Thanks for the advice girl! I left him for a really long time the other day and he was absolutely amazing! I think it’s more in my head than anything I just feel bad leaving him for too long but I know he’s perfectly fine and has everything he needs but I suppose me worrying isn’t a bad thing! 😂

@@KeiraSian honestly, a lot of it is just us stressing! 🤣 Struggling with maisey and strangers at the moment. She just barks and runs off from them, so one step at a time!
Here if you need any support with roo!🥰🥰

I think if you are gone the whole day you shouldn't have a dog. Maximum I leave my poodle alone is 3.5 hours. If you are away the whole day you always have to have a dogsitter.

That is true! I never leave my dog longer than 4 hours but I know a lot of people who work full time with dogs which puzzles me 😂☺️

@@KeiraSianI work full time. That’s not a reason I can’t love on a puppy! 🩷 I have a cockapoo and my husband and I take turns with our schedule. He does amazing when we are out and we give him extra attention when we are home!
