I got a Cockapoo 3 days ago from the pet store. There where a bunch of different breeds and saw this adorable, energetic, little, red and fluffy pup that was begging me to take him with those big ol'eyes. I don't know anything about cockapoos, but I'm really interested to learn everything about this mixed dog breed.

I just bought my puppy today! I love it she is so adorable. Any tips on crates (crying at night etc). I heard it is best for them to sleep in the crate but it breaks my heart hearing the whines. She is only 9 weeks old. Just wondering what the right way is. Thank you!

My late mother's beloved cockapoos, Tighthead and Loosehead, were perfect guard dogs for the type of protection she needed. Though little ewoks in appearance, their barks made them sound like much larger and more aggressive dogs; accordingly, undesirables approaching the house, not being able to see inside to ascertain what was producing the noise, were more likely to be intimidated, and so move on. And visitors who actually saw them, whether complete strangers or not, could be assured of unlimited licks and requests for affection.

Very friendly. Yet, I should imagine that these breeds would not make good guard dogs.
