The 4-4-2 is extremely similar to a download tactic for fm 2021, except I think they were both box to box central midfielders. I remember having Saint-Maximum and Almiron as defensive wingers thinking it would be dreadful but they were unreal. I’ve never tried it in further football managers but going off this video it looks like it is still a successful tactic.
Aston Villa: Aww how cute, they think they've beat us. Aston Villa: (wins by 5 after losing by 4) Aston Villa: We were just giving our supporters the comeback arc. #JustContent
I also have boogie men, Tuchel and De zerbi. The 5221 is so frustrating to play against. I have to tailored a specific tactic just to counter that formation just 2 3 matches per season.
@@StingerNeilD it was a narrow 4-3-3, wing backs, mezzalas and advanced forwards providing the width, you could get decent overloads out widen even though it was a narrow formation. The centre striker always played rubbish but he was there to facilitate the width of the advanced forwards, he was my Firmino
Been using something similar but using pia to set press more often works better imo especially with CBS your only real option was stopper but by using pis you could've used defend/cover where they'd stay back but then start pressing when the ball gets near your CBs been working really well for me especially with winning aerial duels in my current save I've only conceded 20 goals & just got into February this is with a back line of bento sepp van den berg Joe gomez yacin Alfie doughty
Ironically this is probably the least crazy tactic you’ve done & will no doubt be playable at all levels up to say tier 5/6 any lower you’ll probably struggle with natural fitness & stamina. I enjoy the challenge of non league & work up from there. I started in tier 12 now in National League & maybe time for a gegenpress.
Probably this is what Klopp dreams about while he sleeps
More like Ralf Rangnick
that Villa part cracked me up
I hate them so much
I’ve found shadow strikers press like hell. Real underrated role for this stuff.
I didnt even stopper was a role for centreal defenders. This is what i like about your channel. Keep going further outside the box
I love how creative your tactics Always are 😂
Don't try this at home

Box2box was my other thought, could perhaps work better, or maybe a combo of both
Villa did you dirty... Again
😑😑😑😑
2:39 pissin myself lmao
Defensive wingers are extremely underrated in gegenpress tactics. They press aggressively, track back and stops overlaps on wide areas.
Agreed

How many playmakers can you get in a tactic? Roaming, deep-lying, advanced, wide, Trequartista, regista
I play like that since day one in my Youth Challenge with Sporting Clube de Portugal Save
Solid way to play in FM
I do stopper duty only if I have 2 other defenders keeping the line. I never use cover.
Cover! Never got that working
Make a tactic using Raumdeuters!
Any PI's? would love to try this
I used to play 2 stoppers with a half back on an old FM
Not a bad sounding combo that

@@mw56101 if your CF is getting rubbish ratings, consider a target man type to at least smash home some goals from corner kicks.
@@jacobdelaney9465 you might be right it's about finding the right player in the right role
Can u pls do with two ramaduers
*klopp joined the chat
Gunna try this was u using gegenpress then i guess?
Blank slate but by the time you've added the instructions it results in gegen
Which would you say is more agr
Aggressive
either. depends if you want more in mid or attack
I guess like 3 Füllkrug type of players would work best?
I'd guess so, workrate and physical beasts should do the trick

Agree. Not too crazy this one really and a proven method on FM
