LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in SOLO: midori / miyako Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome SOLO: both / midori ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao album: Battle Against Damnation EP 06/06/2018 -----
Nice reaction! This performance blows me away every time, I don't know why it isn't one of their most popular songs, it is easily in my top 20 of their work. So many great things going on in this performance, and Midori is 🔥🔥through the whole thing!🤘🐺🤘
This song is about the atomic bombing of Japan. Under the Red Sky refers to the effects of the blast. The frenetic riff and rhythm section captures the intensity of the events. Midori's solos depict the moment of the ignition and subsequent explosion over the city, and the chaos immediately after. Miyako's solo concentrates on the rising rom the ashes, as does the closing choral harmony at the end. I had the privilege of visiting the Peace Park in Nagasaki ten years ago. What I saw and read there changed my attitude toward war forever. Organized school groups, numbering in the tens of thousands of students from all across Japan visit there annually.
Thank you for sharing this! I’m so moved that the song’s intensity resonated with your own memories from visiting Nagasaki's Peace Park. I would love to go one day to visit as well! Knowing how many students visit the park each year is a powerful reminder of why we must keep telling these stories. Thanks for listening so closely and connecting with the song’s message!
The frustration that Asami must have felt, especially at the tail end of the song, not able to interact properly with the crowd because of the restrictions must have hurt her, I love this song, it has a progressive feel to it and shows a little bit of how much range Asami has 🤘🎤🎹🎸🥁🐺
The biggest noodle toaster is this was after 2 hours set and ASAMI puts out a belts like that. And don't get me started on MIDORI put the 💥WAM💥 in whammy. GOOD REACTION AS USUAL LOVE YOUR PASSION,,🐺🐺🐺

This is easily one of their best songs, The song was written as a sequel to "The Apocalypse" from their first album. The Lyrics are very profound, and The Music will make you cry, Love how it just starts off with that hard riff and the song has parts written by Mao, they often collaborate with, which he was instructed to use Rachmaninoff as a theme, He wrote the Interlude parts and the outro. It is also musically similar to "Above the Black Sea". In my opinion the songs can be played together, starting with Above the Black Sea, followed by the Apocalypse and ending with Under the red sky. The EP is called "Battle Against Damnation" Which is 4 songs that is pound for pound the best you can get with a single collection. The Crusade, Break the Wall, Above the Black Sea, Under the red sky.
Thanks you for the information! Love that you picked up on the connections between these songs-I’ll have to check out Above the Black Sea and The Apocalypse since they’re tied to this one!
Ok my friend, now you have a taste of what I meant with the 'unsolicited songs' (this cannot be defined as a 'hidden gem' because it is also present in their Best Of, and it is a song that they have performed many times live). Almost no one suggests this song anymore, while I consider it an incredible piece, and you will realize that you will love it more with each new listen; moreover it is also one of the songs that more than all shows their incredible skill both technically and compositionally... in my opinion few bands around would be able to play this song (live especially) to perfection. Now you are forced to listen to 'Above the Black Sea' which is a real (almost) hidden Gem, because it is the twin of this Piece and Miyako composed them destined to be 'Guitar Concerto'....
This song features Midori's nonstop lead-work in the background. There is a counterpart song, "The Crusade", which, if you haven't seen it, features Miyako doing a nonstop tapping lead. I think they are quite methodical in how they build their catalogue--the alphabetical sequence of albums and DVDs; the "Three E Songs" that have a more ballad feel to them; the steady increase in the intensity level as they master more and more complex stuff. It's amazing to watch.
A song that isn't as popular as some of their others. This has a rather unique composition. For another that has a great piano intro - Lost in the Garden under Miyako piano solo "La Campanella" Lost in the Garden
damn they barely have any bad songs, (maybe it's just a matter of listener taste) interesting reaction let's continue the fun "dancing with the devil' ruclips.net/video/mJGgLFTPME8/видео.html
LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits:
Rupture of the Heavens
Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree
Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity
Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity
Time has stopped and frozen
Held my breath with the death of humanity
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
SOLO: midori / miyako
Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea
Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome

@@inalectexperiences You're welcome. Hope you're able to go there someday. It's a beautiful country inhabitated by beautiful people. 🙏🕊&❤

Midori's glass thing is a slide. It produces that really haunting sound that aligns perfectly with the context of this song.
Thank you so much! I was scratching my head there trying to figure it out lol

Haha Asami is so good! and those Wam's are just mind blowing! Thank you so much!
Midori played with the slide!🤘
Thank you for that! I was trying to figure out what it was called lol
I agree, it should have a lot more views. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Midori was showing off her slide guitar skills 😊.
She was outstanding! 😄

This one is in my lovebites' top 3 songs...
One of my favs!
Mind-blowing as always. Lovebites the legend of all time. 👍🤘
One of my top ten favorites from these Metal Goddesses!! Not reacted to as much, great composition, love the “Galloping guitars “!!❤️🐺🔥
Haha "Galloping guitars" is such a good way to describe those riffs

@@inalectexperiences The Live version in Wacken is amazing.
3分10秒~ MIYAKOの歌うギターソロがとにかく大好き😍。一番好きな、LOVEBITES の曲です。

Yes it does have a unique sound to this one. Thank you for the recommendation!
Midori💚💚💚💚💚 Miho💜💜💜💜💜 it give me chills when Midori uses the slide, it has that eerie and emotional sounds
This is a very well conceived song---the two emotional themes merge seamlessly. It shouldn't work. It really shouldn't LOL
🤘There is a song that is related to “Under the red sky”, called ❤“Above the black sea ”❤This one is also good.👍
Above the black sea will be next for sure 🙏
Not their best song (Edge of the world is for me) but it will always? be my favorite song. Love it so much.

Pure progressive, not metal.
